A popular recreational park

This riverside park is located near the transportation hub of Hackescher Markt. A footbridge connects the park with Museum Island.

There is a children's swimming pool in the middle of the park. Wide green spaces are wonderful for sunbathing or for ball games. The park is also a popular picnic spot.

During our visit, cherry trees were in bloom. They were so beautiful.

Monbijoupark is a nice small park, easily accessible and the crowd is a mix of locals and tourists, nice during summer in the evenings!

While in the middle of Berlin, this park is highly dangerous, especially at night. Lots of drug dealers and other questionable elements. For some reason, the Berlin security elements are not able to pacify this area.

Better in summer time

Monbijou Park is easy to access by the public transportation system. I was in the area and decided to check the park out. As expected nothing much to do there in a cold November night. It is a quiet park, except the dogs and their owners there was hardly anyone at this time of the year.

Small park between Hackescher Markt and the Neue Synagogue

Small park between Hackescher Markt and Neue Synagogue. Not worth a special trip to come see it, but you will pass it if you go to Neue Synagogue. We stopped for 10-15 minutes because we had been walking in the sun for a while. Great to see pet owners with their dogs ... all playing together.

Cool chill out area.

Monbijoupark is a cool leafy park area located facing Museum quartier Island that is just a joy to visit.
A cool park area with lots of pubs,cafes and bars ,great outside seating areas where you can just chill out in and absorb the great vibe of this locals hangout district, we sat outside a bar here,enjoyed a cold beer on a busy and bustling Thursday night, a really hot night and just chilled out in.
Well worth checking out if your in the area.

Super people-watching!

On a pretty spring weekend, it's hard to beat an hour or so lounging in this leafy public park where the River Spree forks around Museum Island. Order a beer or a coffee from one of the outdoor bars -- or brunch or lunch from a cafe -- relax in a canvas beach chair and watch the world cycle, jog or float by while you listen to a guitarist do Bob Dylaan covers.

Picnic.

My twin brother Stephen and I had planned a trip to Oranienburgerstraße to visit the Neue Synagogue and also enjoy some of the great pubs and bars along this famous street and as temperatures were hitting the 37 degree mark we decided to have a mini picnic in the park,we bought some sandwiches, crisps,cakes ,a couple of soft drinks and a couple of beers which we enjoyed in this well kept park.
It was so nice just sitting in the sunshine and looking forward to the day ahead visiting Oranienburgerstraße and planning out the rest of the day ahead.
We were sat near the wonderful cooling fountain,park was busy as it was so hot,young families taking advantage of the sun ,a really nice atmosphere and a lovely start to our day.
Monbijou Park is easy to locate,we jumped the Sbahn to Oranienburgerstraße were we walked down Oranienburgerstraße in the direction of Alexanderplatz, it's an easy park to find.
Well worth checking out.
