Riding the segway was indeed a nice experience. Much more easy than first thought. The guide was very good, had a good speed and was very careful about safety. We also booked ahead, and the process and payment was without trouble. Recommend this.

We did the classic city tour with our hilarious and informative guide Walid. I was a bit apprehensive being 55 yrs and not too coordinated but it was a piece of cake. Our initial briefing was really good and felt safe at all times. My only downfall was I froze but that was my fault. Make sure you dress warmly... More

In my humble opinion the best way to see the sites of Berlin. Walid was informative, funny and with his love of Iron Maiden made our tour unforgettable and our first stay in Berlin perfect. Would highly recommend this to anybody.

Booked on line a few weeks before our city visit to make sure we got the time and day we wanted. We like to do a Segway tour in each city we visit as it gives you a brief look at the top areas which you can then go back to visit at your own leisure. This tour was led... More

Hi DowleS, Thank you for such a great review! It's fantastic to hear you enjoyed our Segway Tour with Walid! We like to always start with Segway training to make sure everyone feels confident on their Segway before setting off on tour. Marriette, our guide, gave us great training to ride the segways and took us on a first class tour of Berlin. The tour was really well organised, took us to really interesting locations and riding a Segway was terrific fun. After the tour Marriette recommended we try the Hofbrauhaus for a traditional german meal with beers. We did this tour... More

An excellent and enjoyable trip with a knowledgable guide. Saw many of the touristy sites with loads of information given. It is slightly pricey but well worth the money. Definitely a great Day 1 activity to get to know the area and attractions.

Great fun. Walid, our tour guide was hilarious and had interesting facts about the stops. We had never used a Segway before but it's really easy to learn and intuitive. I definetely recommend this to anyone.

3 hours of speeding round Berlin and see all the big attractions. The best is the pretty knowledgeable guides (mainly students but well read on the main historic points) Fully recommended for day 1 orientation

The best way to start a visit of Berlin, was to really get this 3 hour city tour through the main landmarks from Berlin historic center and to find out the history behind. Our tour guide, Tobi, gave us interesting information at each stop we had, which helped us getting an overview on where we would like to go and... More

We went on our first Segway tour today, it was amazing. Right from the beginning Tobi, our guide, made sure this was a memorable experience. It took only a few minutes learn how to move easily on the Segway and off we went. We have been on lots of tours before and what made this one so special was our... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
