Took a tour with City Segway Berlin, our guide Tobi was so great, funny, and informative, and a very patient teacher. We all had such a great time and would highly recommend the tour to anyone wanting to get a different view of Berlin. We plan on going again on another trip later this year! Can't recommend it enough!

To start with our tour guide Tobi was fantastic! He was so full of life, he was funny and he made this tour an excellent experience. He was also very patient when teaching us to use the segways. I was a little scared when being inducted on the segway but by the end of the tour I was zooming around... More

We took our segway tour yesterday. A small group of just 5 of us were treated to the sights and history of Berlin by the handsome and charismatic Walid. Not only did he make it exhilerating and entertaining, but also shared his excellent local and historic knowledge. The highlight was his captivating and insightful account of schoeneberg services catering to... More

My husband and I booked Segway tours of Berlin for our honeymoon. If you think that sounds cheesy you've obviously never been on a Segway before. If you had, you would understand that they are every bit as fun as they look. They're also a really great way to move around a city fast. Craig led our tour and did... More

My experience with City Segway Tours was absolutely amazing. I booked the tour in person at the shop next to the TV Tower as I had seen that I got a discount with the Berlin Welcome Card. This discount turned a fair price into a great one. As an added bonus, I ended up getting a private 1:1 tour because... More

Hi David T, Thank you for joining us on our City Segway Tour! It's great to hear you had a fantastic time on tour with Tobi and that you picked up tips about activities and things to see while in the city. We also find the small group sizes on our Segway Tours allow for a little more flexibility with... More

I have less than 5 hours in Berlin (due to cruise ship schedule) and I have to setup a private Segway tour by only emailing them few time and a phone call. Jürgen (the nice funny tour guide) took us to all important places that must visit. He also tell me a lot of history and story about each area.... More

It is a funny way to discover a city, but don't think that after 3h of segway we will feel like after a siesta. We did it as first activity arriving in Berlin for the first time, and I have to say that it is a great idea, because you get quickly an overlook of the city and the guide... More

Had a great time on the Segway Tour our guide Wallid (could be spelt wrong) was awesome and so funny. Learnt a lot about Berlin definitely the best way to see and learn about the city. Keep in mind: You have to have a FULL drivers license to ride a Segway in Germany so provisionals are not ok. Wasn't a... More

The City Segway tour was awesome! My daughter booked it when we were in Berlin telling me it was a great and fast way to see the sights of Berlin. I'm 62 and convinced myself that I wasn't going to be able to ride one of those things! After the lesson I was in love!!! It was fantastic! The guide... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
