Burgerspital is not just a restaurant or a wine house. Part of it is a residential and nursing home for senior citizen with a nice couurtyard. And also has a cellar that you can visit and an area where they produce the local wine. It`s a very interesting place for a tour and also to learn about the regional wines... More

This used to be a hospital or old people's home. It is a very spacious structure built around a court yard. I think in the summer one can eat outside here. We arrived quite late in the evening. This was no problem at all. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. My friends had some typical franconian dishes, like sauerbraten (very... More

A famous wine cellar with over 700 years history and also VDP certificate, which located in the center of the city underground! A typical exprience in Franconia. The most impressive things were the huuuuge wood barrels and amaaaaazing Riesling! I should say the Weinprobe deserve a try. Since I didn't know it's also a restaurant. Otherwise I would have had... My friend and I came here after the wine tour at the residence. They have tons of local wines you can try at very reasonable prices. Also some nibbles so you don't get too drunk!
