The museum is rather dated. While a lot of the old artifacts are cool, they layout and exhibits are very contrasting to the store downstairs. See this place but don't spend more than an hour. The store is wonderful however.

It's really just an excuse to sell merchandise. Possibly some interest for children who don't know the history of how Christmas is celebrated

Here in 2011. Back again in 2017. There is no more amazing collection of christmas thru the ages followed by the ability to purchase an heirloom for the tree. a must see

It is called a Christmas museum but only had a small section with some history of Christmas decorations and how they evolved. Not impressive. The shop is however quite nice and has a very good collection of unique Christmas decorations.

Pleasantly surprised. The museum describes the history behind many different Christmas and holiday traditions. They include many examples from Germany and around the world. Examples included are trees, ornaments, advent calendars, greeting cards, and lights. There is a modest admission charge.
