This town is a must see. Just so pretty and atmospheric will return to stay as day trip does not do it justice.

We really enjoyed strolling the streets of Rothenburg and window shopping as the old town is remarkably beautiful and charming for its history. It really was a highlight of our 7 weeks in Europe.

It's a MUST visit historic town! The beauty is beyond words and descriptions and you've to see it with your own eyes! Walk the walls and explore the little lanes, you will find all sorts of pleasant surprises in the town. It takes you back to history and you will definitely love this charming old town!

An old town preserved in time! Step into the old Bavaria and take in the amazing buildings, all in Bavarian style. We walked down the main street in the old town. Stopping for iced coffees( ice cream in coffee! If you are gluten free make sure you ask for your drinks with no cookie on top!) We visited this cool... More

My husband and I were just here for a day and did the Rick Steve's audio tour around town on our own. We loved every moment of it. The history and quiet town, the delicious restaurants and the beautiful views were fantastic. We loved going to the Christmas shop and taking a ton of photos. It's touristy, that's for sure,... It is very interesting to go walking in the city to see the old houses, beautiful stores of chocolates, sweets, cakes, souvenirs and to see the old wall that goes around the city. There is also a beautiful garden where once there was a castle.

This town is so charming and you can explore as much or as little as you like and still have a fairytale experience. We visited last year, but only had about 3 hours so we didn't get to see much beyond the town hall and Das Plonlein. We had a full day to shop and explore this visit, but you... More

Loved the old town of Rothenburg; quaint, easy walking all over town. Very friendly people. Were there for the small Christmas market and it was great.

Amazing small medieval town with city walls and towers - you have to see it at night and then in a daylight. It looks absolutely different, but I don't even know which view is better : at night most impressive are Christmas market shops of traditional toys, in daylight - city walls and colorful Old town houses. Really one of... More
