İt's a pieceful garden with a nice view, charming flowers, tiny walking paths. Very romantic like the rest of the city.

A castle of the 12. century don't has a garden. The correct expression should be the gardens instead of a castle. In the year 1142 the Hohenstaufen were built up their castle of the empire. King Konrad III. was to rule his empire from here, but he was the only ruler who actually used Rothenburg castle. Starting from the castle,... More

Lovely walking around the gardens and some great views down either side over the valley. Good viewpoints as marked on the tourist map.

This garden sits inside the outer walls elevated above the river that wraps around 3 sides down below. In the middle of summer, the trees are too thick to see much of the river, but the views are still beautiful & unique. You can look back toward the city rising above the walls skiing the ridge, and below are scattered... More

The Burggarten has garden elements, but is really a surprising mix of attractions: overlooks with beautiful valley views, a few charming old buildings, some lovely rose and hyacinth-covered arbors, and small intimate sculpture and flower gardens. Visit it early in the morning to see the valleys cloaked in mist, during noonday to escape the heat under a centuries-old tree, or... More

An easy place to stroll, look at views over the walls, linger on one of the many park benches, and just enjoy the ambiance. There are also a couple of very interesting structures to see (an old church, some memorial stones etc). Really a joy.

There is a church next to the garden which was closed, but was beautiful from outside. The landscape views from the wall are beautiful !

On entering the gardens of Rothenburg, the opportunities to admire the gates to the old town and the views across the valley to the southern end of the town are worth the visit. Best photo stops!

If you are in Rothenburg and you want to take a walk than you'll finish for sure in Burggarten. This is a peaceful and beauty place to stay, walk meet with friend or simply pass by. I've been there just in my walks on the Rothenburg walls and a had a pause on it.
