A cute town with a nice pedestrian area with only dining and shopping. It was beautiful on a sunny day, not a lot to do, but sit at a cafe, have a beer or an ice cream and plan your trip to one of the local castles. If you are in Fussen, I definitely recommend a short walk around the... More

It's always nice when you're pleasantly surprised by somewhere, and that's how we felt about Fussen. Nice old streets to wander down and lots of sculptures to look at. The river is a stunning colour of blue that I've not seen anywhere else. If you're visiting the castles, take some time to explore the town too.

I recommended it several times to friends , who want to visit the area. They are all pleasantly surprised, when they have been there. Lovely town, clean, large walking area through town. Many interesting shops, much to see and lovely cafe's to sit outside.

tacky tourist trap, very over priced even for Germany. Nothing to do in this place but see castles, then get out, there is a very good reason this is a day trip for most people

Fuessen and Schwangau are minutes apart, and the scenery in the area is gorgeous for hiking or biking. Behind Hotel Sonne is a nice walking district with shops and cafes. The Schneeballentraume (cookie ball) shop is amazing! Many restaurants only take cash. My husband and sons rented bikes and explored around the lake. We could have spent several days hiking... More

Füssen has an old, romantic city center. There are many nice restaurants and terraces. It is not a big town, but it really is worth visiting.

This is a beautiful place to hang out and explore. It has a charm all its own with quaint, painted buildings and many excellent restaurants and cafes.
