It starts with some plant displays. Plants which thread is made from. So amazed....couldn't believe that out of Aloe or other common plants they developd 'thread'. The museum is interesting if you like textile industry. You can see machines from across the ages, know some stories of the workers or look to several exhibitions.

This museum is really excellent with the history of textiles, and especially the history around Augsburg (I guess it used to be a large textile area). It is not so big, but there is also a very good restaurant there, and they have temporary exhibits...More

Went there with my husband, and both of us got more than we expected from a museum - information on fabrics, on history, on design, on technics and much more, beautifully prestented. Also recommended for kids, they can join in and try out.
