Very Enjoyable Venue

We were interested in a cuckoo clock, but decided against it in the end. However the variety and selection and quality here is mind-numbing. And the staff are very pleasant, helpful, and warm. Reasonably priced in terms of euro-to dollar, clocks are not the only collectibles in the shop...and the shopping area is welcoming and seems to do a brisk business on Fridays. Highly recommended stop - with great eateries nearby!

Extremely Interesting

Learn the history of Coo Coo Clocks as this area is where they were first made and introduced to the world. The dark wood of the clocks comes from the Black Forest of Bavaria. Lots of artistic work and beauty. Fascinating.

One of the many highlights in Drubba .The Cuckoo clocks. So many of them & presented by the staff out there -on how they work-.Its not that simple & lots of details go in there.

The view all around was fabulous. There is a lunch break & they are some good place to buy the finest Cuckoo clocks. Some great souvenirs too.

We loved our visit to this shop in the Black Forest. Of course, we purchased a Cuckoo Clock! A demonstration was performed on the history of Cuckoo Clocks and the internal workings. The employees of the shop were fantastic is working with us to determine the best fit for our needs. Thank You!

Great gift shop

Unique and beautiful art work and handcrafts. You see things not found elsewhere. Only negative is that this is promoted as a place to see works created and this is a minimal aspect of the trip.

Authentic Cuckoo Clock Maker and Eye Opening Tour !!
Dec 2018 • Family
The Shop is next to Lake Titisee and highly recommended place to visit when you are in the vicinity.

The tour started off with a briefing in show and tell format detailing how a cuckoo clock is made and its component and mechanism.. It had shattered my prejudices and preconceived idea of its simplicity ... kudos to those craftsman and the inventors for their creativity and resourcefulness..

The shops had a plethora of choices to choose from in various range and budgets and there are also watches and souveniors on sale should you prefer to indulge in those..

Overall, a great experience and do try out the restaurants around the shop around lake Titisee and indulge in the authentic blackforest cake and do buy back a local made coffee liquer from any of the shop that sells liquer and alcohol..

Excellent Customer Service

Dave Harper was my sales person and he was so patient when I was choosing a clock. There were so many that I liked. I bought the most adorable clock at the Black Forest location. However, when I got home I decided to upgrade. Dave Harper got back to me immediately via email and then sent me pictures of available clocks. He seamlessly made the transaction and sent the paperwork. My clock came a lot quicker than anticipated. I followed the directions very carefully, but seemed to have missed a small step so it wasn't chiming. I emailed Dave letting him know it wasn't working, then read you can go to YouTube to troubleshoot and realized my mistake. I emailed Dave that I got it working and he still was so gracious even after it was my mistake. Oh, and LOVE the clock. Great quality.

See the making of cuckoo clocks firsthand
Aug 2018
A quaint place nestled in a beautiful location. You are shown how cuckoo clocks are made. It was fascinating. There, in the black forest, they also have a restaurant , where you can have a slice of black forest cake . They also have a vegetarian egg free version of the same.

Expensive and heavy
May 2018 • Family
The Black forest is not black. It is beautiful and dense. Green throughout. The cuckoo clock factory is in midst of dense first with a running stream. A bear welcomes you to a huge clock which rings every hour with dancing dolls. They explain everything about the clock in the beginning. It is expensive and heavy. Do not ask for despatch by post. It is a big mistake as you have to pay customs duty. It is better to buy the wooden one with the metal pull cord. It works beautifully. But very expensive. And your airline weight policy has to be kept in mind.
