This is a major tourist attraction in Regensburg but when we visited it was being repaired so we didn't see it in its full glory. Basically it's a stone bridge with numerous arches and was built almost 1000 years ago. That said, it's just a...More

Undergoing construction/renovation when we went, there was absolutely nothing of value to see except the views of the town and river from the walkways around the construction. If you are going to visit this landmark, make sure they have finished renovations! Wish I could say...More

This Bridge is full of history. It is beautiful by itself and additionally it gives you a nice view from the City, combining the DOM, the DONAU River and the OLD CITY. You should also consider a quick stop at the WurstKuchl

it's undergoing restoration, so you don't get the full beauty of it at the moment. You can still walk across and get the views of the old town.

This is one of the main sightseeing attractions in the Bavarian city of Regensburg and has been around for over 800 years. Going back even further in time, this area along the Danube would have been a natural frontier region separating the Roman Empire and...More

It took 10 years to build in the 1100s but current renovations will take 7 years to repair it. That detracts from it visually but you should see it and walk on it (it is free and pedestrian only). For many years it was the...More

The Steinerne Brücke is one of the constructions that define Regensburg and really should be visited by everyone who comes to see the town. There aren't many buildings that have survived from the 12th century (in Regensburg or elsewhere) so for a bridge to have...More

A great attraction in Regensburg. In fact the main and best there. The architecture is worth watching. But it is currently under renovation as of September 2014. Do check that before going

Our tour guide said it was a miracle of engineering and a masterpiece of medieval construction as well as the emblem of the city. It was the only solid crossing for centuries, amazing considering the crusades and crossings that must have taken place in this...More

Yes, the Old Stone Bridge is still under construction. It is a long project yet still not done. It will be the same in July when you come through.
