The Stone Bridge (Steinerne Brücke) in Regensburg, Germany, is a 12th-century bridge across the Danube linking the Old Town with Stadtamhof. For more than 800 years, until the 1930s, it was the city's only bridge across the river. It is a masterwork of medieval construction...More

When asked, a local told be that the bridge restoration will be completed by the end of 2017. Then added, that is what they are saying. My interpretation is that this project is taking longer than expected. Even so, the bridge is impressive. It has...More

Sadly the bridge was covered up and being fixed when we are there but otherwise I think it would be a great to see and walk along.

Disappointed. The bridge was under construction. I was looking forward to looking at it. However all wrapped and men working on it took away the grander. I was amazed how fast the river was moving. The walk next to the bridge was not as glamorous...More

A beautiful romanic bridge which half of it is currently under reconstruction. It's very impressive to see it. Recommended the bridge museum which is very modern with a lot of interactive activities.

Unfortunately this bridge was being renovated so we were unable to see it the way it should be. However, what we could see was beautiful!

The bridge was under restauration and impossible to see. If you want to see the bridge, please do some research. We did not find any information on the spot telling us when it will be possible to see the bridge.

This is a very nice landmark and this over 800 year old bridge gives normally a great photo opportunity. However currently it is under construction (2016).

The old stone bridge is more than 800 years old, butl looks like new. It offers fantastic views towards the old town and access to a number of lovely beer gardens. On either end you will find very interesting buildings even older than the bridge...More

Yes, the Old Stone Bridge is still under construction. It is a long project yet still not done. It will be the same in July when you come through.
