Its belltower is very well maintained and photographs well. The interior was not open on this feast day. It is a must see in the Old town and you naturally come across it if you spend any time walking around.

I wouldn't go out of my way to see the Regensburg Rathaus since it doesn't really compare to some of the other medieval examples in Bavaria, however you will undoubtedly look up at it as you walk along the river or across the stone bridge.

The place you won't miss in Regensburg. Nice walking on the stone bridge, quite windy but comfortable on a sunny day.

Lovely place full of history and romantic in the same time. The city gate on the stone bridge is superb.

Interesting history associated with this "town hall". We were lucky to have a tour guide who is a history graduate stent at the University. I recommend you either have a guide, or read up about the significance of the building.

We happened to visit the Rathaus on a Friday morning. All couples who are going to be married in a church wedding on Saturday have to come to the City Hall for a civil ceremony on Friday. That made for a fun experience. We stood...More

This old untouched building has lots of history. The outside is really neat. They give tours of the building and they are in German. It was disappointing that none were in English, just the audio guides that I am not crazy about. I prefer the...More
