Vienna City Bike Tour

207 reviews
Active travelers will enjoy this cycling tour of Vienna, which combines getting outdoors, physical exercise, and sightseeing. Check out some of the city's most popular attractions--such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and Stadtpark--as well as some of its quieter streets. Cover more ground than you would on a walking tour, but get a more intimate perspective than you would touring by bus.

I wish we had more time to explore this great museum. At 5 euros per adult it is a great value. Children up to age 6 are free, and older children and students are 4 euros. From one of the windows in this fortress , we were able to see the three rivers that converge in Passau, the Inn, the Ilz, and the Danube. The museum houses a chapel that has frescos. There is also a restaurant on the premises. You can catch a tram in front of the City Hall that takes you up to the fortress. It is 2 euros per person each way. You can save with a family pass.

We took a taxi up to Oberhaus, and saw breathtaking views of Passau and the three rivers, but after a few minutes, we were ready to leave. This is not easy for people with disabilities to visit, with few benches. But the views were spectacular, and our taxi driver gave us an impromptu tour of the area as he drove us back to our boat. His English was non-existent, but my college German seemed to work.

Travelled from Ireland to this breathtakingly beautiful castle sitting on a rock overlooking a stunning city on the river Danube. You can arrive by Taxi or take the long stair on the outer wall. Come by Taxi and take the stairs down is the easiest option. The castle hosts a beautiful restaurant with panoramic views over the river and city There are fantastic view points all made accessible by lift or the walled stairway. Your enjoy a few hours here.

We enjoyed some exhibits, but most descriptions were in German. Very convoluted layout, some poor lighting and no AC.

Hello and thank you for your feedback! We are currently working on having our signs and labels translated but this will take a little time, because of the sheer multitude of them. We are commited to offer our guests this service in the near future however. As to the AC, it is unfortunately technically impossible to fix up this 800-year old buildings with an AC. We suffer the cold in the winter and heat in summer, just like the original inhabitants! Best wishes from the Veste Oberhaus.
