The Fountain of Virtues is located right next to the church of San Lorenzo and is therefore one of the most famous and admired among those scattered in the center of Nuremberg. The work consists of an octagonal basin, from the center of which a column rises, decorated with figures representing the virtues and with children playing trumpets. At the top of the column is the statue portraying Justice holding a scale. A beautiful fountain which, when in operation, is almost enveloped in a multitude of sprays that come from each of the figures that compose it.

Nice fountain right next to Lorenzkirche. Good to sit and watch everything or just to take a picture

This fountain sits outside St. Lorenz and has the potential to be a very nice fountain. However it appears that they covered it up either for the winter or for repairs. Also because it is covered, the Christmas market vendors have set up in front of it and you cannot even see the picture on the covering to see what it looks like.

Seems like a bit of a misnomer really. One of a number of lovely fountains scattered throughout the City. This one with water escaping via boobs. Virtuous! Unsure

Fountain was covered while we were there, may have been to protect it from the cold. We visited at the height of Christmas Market and would have loved to have seen this but....
We did see many fountains covered for the winter, a good reason to return in warmer weather.

OK, this is definitely not worth going out of your way for. But ... it's a fountain with water coming from ladies' boobs. Not something you see every day. It's a lovely fountain, maybe worth a photo.

This is another fountain spouting water like most other fountains in the world. It is unusual as the water is coming out of female breasts. Enough said!

This really isn't worth a second look, unless fountain water pouring out of women's breasts is interesting. To me, it wasn't. Nicely crafted and all that, but not memorable.
