Visited this first on my first day there, fantastic place and well worth a look round, Not at all expensive 7 euros to see the areas you can see. It is at the highest point in Nuremburg so you need to be fairly fit if...More

This small castle is located inside the old town on a small hill and is at walking distance from the church and Christmas market at the main centre of the town. The slope to get up the castle and a little climb inside is all...More

We loved coming to the castle, it was well displayed and very pleasant to walk around. We learned the history of the area and its’ rulers with some fantastic displays. Would love to come again in the spring!

We were in and out in a n hour. As historical buffs it left us disappointed as not an awful lot of narrative for the actual exhibits on display. Just one main part to be honest. The grounds too are poor

Climb up the hill for an amazing view of Nurnberg rooftops. Otherwise not much to see - at least in winter when the gardens we're closed to the public.

Another example of the wonderful work and effort by forefathers building into the sandstone rock high up in the old town. Worth the walk. You can buy a ticket to explore inside, or admire from the outside. Goid view of the city from the castle.

VERy steep climb, and as snowy it was a bit slippery. Glad we went, but no glitz and glamour here. Let’s face it this Castle was an armoury and defence placement not a luxurious palace. But still a little disappointed. The guide in the well...More

It comes down to have you been to another Germany old town? If not, then it is a yes. If you have and enjoyed the other one, then I would go. If you do like seeing old buildings/walls or moats, then do not go. I like old... More
