We had just finished touring the castle and were heading to the Frauenkirche to see the wonderful display when the noon bells rang. We were surprised at the large amount of activity in this square, especially for mid-week. So many delicious food stalls with both...More

We walked through the Hauptmarkt on a number of occasions whilst travelling from A to B; there was a stage and live music playing throughout the day and large variety of foods on offer in the market as a part of a local food festival.

Great market square to feel the energy and local lifestyle of the old city. There are a lot of stalls with bakery, produce, and local goods. Just off the square are retail stores.

Glad to be in Nuremberg on market day Saturday. The square was filled with vendors of all varieties. We purchased the gingerbread from one of the vendors after sampling several types, including gluten free.

Unfortunately, the fame of these Advent Markets also brings the negative side of the thing in the form of a crowd of people pushing in, trying to be somewhere 3 seconds ahead of you and ignoring your surroundings. You might prefer to drink a punch...More

Hello when we visited only some stalls were open on the Sunday. Mainly craft stalls. Only a few. Saturday is the main day. You could contact tourist information because there are different events on during the year.
