Fun area to browse around and see what you can find. A lot of unique shops with handcrafted items and collectibles from around the world. Lots and lots of stuff crammed in a small area. It is popular, so it can be crowded. Patience is the key. Found a nice pewter frog at one of the shops and it makes a great addition to the collection. Located just steps away from the train station. An easy stop if you are visiting for just a few hours. Like a trip back in time. If you enjoy shopping and hand-crafted items, this is the place for you. Well worth your time to visit.

Its easy to miss Handwerkerhof if you aren't looking for it but this is the cutest place in all of Nuremberg. It is like stepping back in time with quaint architecture, shops and fabulous dining experiences. A must see, do and eat.

We found this nice area by chance near the Main Railway Station. It’s like a village with faity-tale houses, real shops, bars and restaurants. We returned there in the evening and it was even nicer with yellow lights.

You can’t go to Nuremberg and miss this area…..It’s like falling into a history book! The shops are cute and the restaurants are good. If you do go, try Bratwurst Glocklein for a drink or a meal. We absolutely loved it there! Great atmosphere, great food and a great price! Enjoy!

cool, atmospheric place between the historic city walls, a medieval street with stalls, shops and bars. You can feel the atmosphere of old times and eat something good.

We had no idea that this place existed, but as we were walking along the wall, stumbled upon this little corner. It was exactly what I love - authentic shops with amazing craftspeople and specialists making quality products. There was a metalworker, leather shop, gingerbread, potter, silversmith etc. I bought some handcrafted tea mugs and hand made silver earrings. We found a wonderful restaurant for lunch. The whole place was charming and i loved it. Beautiful surprise. Worth the visit.

Handwerkhof is a recreation of a medieval shopping village, making use of the tower and landmark Frauentor, which would have formed part of the historic city wall during the Middle Ages.
You can find Handwerkhof just north of Nuremburg Hbf along Königstor. The courtyard opening hours are 7am to 11pm daily. Individual shops within have varying opening hours.
What you find here is a quint medieval scene with timbered houses and cobblestone alleys. The shops that line the inner walls of Handwerkhof sell crafts, gifts, local food, drinks. Its a neat little arrangement and worth a quick look-see for those sightseeing in the southern part of Nuremburg.
Note - During our recent visit, Handwerkhof was taking part in the Christmas market scene, adding another benefit to visiting during the holiday season.

Check out the metalwork shop. It had beautifuly detailed plates and cups. I wish I had bought more here because when I left Nuremburg I saw them elswhere for twice as much! Also the resturant "Bratwurstglocklein" here was much better than the much talked about "Bratwursthausle" nearby. The atmosphere was much more relaxed.

A reproduction of a craftsmen neighborhood from the Middle Ages. Very beautiful and picturesque! You can find here a lot of handicraft products: sweets, toys, leather products, ceramics, glass.

The Handwerkerhof is just across the Nuremberg Hbf if you exit the main station. I walked inside this walled little village with small handicraft booths, and small food stalls. I visited before noon but it was not very crowded. There were just few people inside walking around and checking wares. This is a nice place to have lots of photos ops.

Sie können das Parkhaus am Hauptbahnhof benutzen, gleich schräg gegenüber oder das Parkhaus am Sterntor mit einem kurzen Fußweg an der Stadtmauer.
