I think it being fix while I was there but it has a mask over it but the sheet does look like what it would if I was there.

The Schoner Brunnen was under wraps of white sheeting with an imprint of the fountain on it during our June 1, 2016 visit. While the imprint of the fountain was to give tourists an idea of the appearance of this famous fountain located on the Hauptmarkt in the center of old town Nuremberg, it was a poor substitute for seeing... Unfortunately, it was still covered but the brass ring for making a wish was there. No sign of when the repair (or restoration) will be completed.

I visited last September and it was covered up because it was under renovation. But from the photo on the tarp that covered it, the fountain which looks like a church spire should be a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Really hope there is the chance to see this most beautiful Fountain in Nuremberg in the future.

It is always being restored and the tourists might go back home without seeing this known landmark of Nuremberg. Worthy a visit anyway, since it is located at the Hauptmarkt and there are other landmarks there to be seen (the Frauenkirche for example).

This was covered on our visit by some scaffolding with a picture of the monument. So we were a little disappointed to say the least. We managed to turn the gold ring though :)

Unfortunately it's covered at present so ones relies on the tarpaulins images. Appears that it is quite a strikingly decorative tower though.

I am sure this is much more beautiful when it is not under construction. We had a tour of the old town and the history was explained to us, which was interesting. The original of it is actually in the museum, this is a replica (but very old).
