Tiergarten Nuremberg is set in an extraordinary and unique landscape. By taking a walk through the large, densely wooded park the visitors discover open-air enclosures skilfully fitted into the red sandstone of the region. Watch dolphins and sea lions swim and play in the open air at the Dolphin Lagoon. Explore life at the Amazon, complete with rainfall periods, at the Manatee House. Go to the Blue Saloon with its vast panorama windows and experience the fascinating underwater world of both manatees and dolphins. Children will love the Kinderzoo, where they can pet animals and discover a lot more...

We had an excellent experience here! We took our 1 year old daughter and she loved seeing all of the different types of animals, as well as the many different habitats. The cost was approx. 27 euro for two adults, which was a bit steep. The food in the restaurant was fair priced and delicious. Our favorite exhibits were the... More

....I have seen it much nicer and better ages ago. When I used to go their as a kid with my grand pa I loved all the different species. But it seems to me now a days the visible animals are getting less and less. They might have more butterflies and birds but when we have been there last year... More

For sure a great day ! Just go around this beautiful and vast zoo. Animals do not look so much in cages, and the vegetation around is beautiful

The zoo is set in a large park with lots of lovely big trees. The day we visited was particularly hot, so we (and the animals) appreciated lots of the shade! The animals seem well cared for and we also got some lovely photos within the zoo.

I've visited some of the best zoos in the U.S. and this is one of the most beautifully laid out. Lots of green landscaping.....which helps keep it cooler in the middle of summer. There's also a small beer garden at the entrance. Most of the animals seem to have plenty of space and seem well cared for. The only possible... More

The zoo is excellent situanted and easy reachable with tram line number 5. The entrance fee is 13.5 euro, when you show the public transport ticket you can save 2 euro. In the Zoo is doplhinarium with show and you must see it! The only problem is that narrating is in german only.

Very nice, clean zoo with a wide array of animals. There are hills, so bring comfy shoes. Not super accessible for those with disabilities in my opinion because of the steep inclines/declines.

The Zoo is 100 years old in 2012 but it is not old-fashioned at all. There are a lot of different animals (polar bears, lion, tiger, elefants, eagle....but THE attraction are the dolphins) and the whole ground is just lovely to walk around. Big trees, lots of places where you can rest or have a picnic, clean bathrooms and nice... More
