Bavarian Day Tours specializes in custom-designed private and small group tours. Our core program consists of day trips from Munich to a wide variety of popular and famous destinations (such as Neuschwanstein, Salzburg and Rothenburg) as well as off-the-beaten-path tours and special interest outings. We give a personal touch to each tour and take the pretty road whenever possible. We offer complete door-to-door transportation. Travelers get plenty of background & historical information from our friendly and experienced driver/guides. Pricing is transparent and there are no hidden costs.

We had such a wonderful day with Kevin on the Bavarian Dream tour! He was professional, responsive, informative, kind, and customized the tour to our interests. We highly recommend Bavarian Day Tours and can’t wait until we can return to tour with them again!

Elizabeth was our tour guide yesterday. We had an English speaking tour and she spoke very well (I even asked her if she lived for a while in Ireland since she sounded like she had a bit of an Irish sound in her voice). She was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered lots of questions from our small group tour. She described the history of Munich and we learned a lot during our walking part of the tour.
We walked and had commentary on the Oktoberfest grounds before heading to our reserved table in the Lowenbrau tent. View of the band and crowd below was great. Elizabeth stayed with us till the end of our allotted time in the tent (4:30). Our Only complaint——and Not of the tour company——-is that the traditional 1/2 chicken was very dry. The 1/4 duck (extra charge) was good. Beer was also good! We highly recommended this tour.

We had 2 groups of 12 and we had the pleasure of having Tom lead us on a walking tour of Munich and Octoberfest. Very informative and fun. We ended the day in the Lowenbrau tent arranged by Bavarian Day Tours. I highly recommend this as a way to see Munich and experience Oktoberfest.

Had a wonderful day traveling to Neuschwanstein Castle and Oberammergau with Bridget! She was a fantastic guide who is friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. Both locations are a bit far from Munich and difficult to get to via public transport so it was great to have our own guide to take us around. I also appreciated Bridget checking in with us the days prior to our tour. It really helped ease any stress that can come with planning a trip.

The team helped us get reserved seats at Oktoberfest in Munich, which is no easy feat. I liked that they communicated well, were flexible and accommodating, and generally took very good care of us. They’ve been doing this a long time and were great sources of information about the area. I’ll definitely book with them next time I’m in the region.

I really enjoyed this tour of Munich which culminated with reserved tables at Oktoberfest! I was on a solo trip through Germany and was nervous about attending the Wiesn alone, but our tour guides and my group mates made the experience amazing, and we’re still in touch. If you’d like to learn more about Munich’s history and experience the best of the festival, you’re in great hands with Bavarian Day Tours!

Great small group tour of Munich and Octoberfest. The guide-Sophie- was great and informative.. the small group was perfect to be able to hear and interact. Loved the highlights of Octoberfest and the reserved table in Löwenbräukeller- great food and beer!

We booked a one day tour with Kevin. When he picked us up at the hotel we started a discussion of where we were from. Turns out he is lived only about 20 minutes from us before moving to Germany! He and my husband starting talking about common golf courses they had played. He took us to Neuschwanstein castle. We stopped on the way back and did an Alpine slide then stopped at a small restaurant for a wonderful lunch. We then stopped in small town for some shopping and Gelato...which I think was better than the Gelato we had in Italy. I wish we had booked more days with Kevin. I didn't realize they do tours all over. We would have used them for our tours in Austria as well. We would absolutely use them again if we are able to be in Bavaria again. Loved our tour! Thanks!

I am a travel agent and I had a group of 10 very important clients of mine who wanted to spend some time in Munich and the surrounding area before going on a river cruise. My clients are very experienced travelers and have had many, many tour guides over the years. All of them raved about Bridget and their time with her. They went on a Uniworld River Cruise and said "all of the guides we had through Uniworld were fantastic, but Bridget was the best guide we had on our entire trip." She is great to work with and I wouldn't dream of using anyone else the next time I have clients going to Munich!

It was our lucky day when we contacted Kevin and arranged airport pick ups and several days of tours months before a planned trip……He was so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable - he really made our visit to Munich and Bavaria before a river boat trip amazing. We not only saw the things on our 'list', but he knew the best spots for unbelievable photos and also great out of the way restaurants….We wanted to skip the boat and stay in Bavaria, but I guess we will just try to return. Definitely will line up more trips with Kevin! Can't say enough about the wonderful time with him!!!

I am Gautam Vora. I was referred to your website from Tripadvisor.
I am visiting Munich with my family from 29th May through 1st June. We are 2 adults and 1 child. I wanted to book a day tour from Munich on 29th May and 31st May. Can you suggest some tours? Please make a note of the following:
1. We are already scheduled to visit Neuschwanstein Castle with a Munich based friend on 30th May.
2. We are interested in places like Salzburg, Innsbruck, Partnachklamm, etc
3. We are 2 adults and 1 child. Child’s age is 10 years.
4. We will be stationed at Mercure Hotel Olympiapark.
5. Our schedule is open on 29th May and 31st May.
I would appreciate if you could suggest some nice tours for these 2 days for my family along with pricing and other details.

Hello -- we'd like a quote on a guided tour through the countryside outside Munich, including the two famous castles (Newschwanstein and Linderhorf) and Eagle's Nest. We'll be in Munich near the end of July 2017.
