Friends and I went to the butterfly exhibit. It was great to see all of the different types, caterpillars, cocoons, etc. Try to go at an off time because it was crazy busy on Saturday afternoon!

It's really a pleasant place where spent a whole day wandering around the open gardens and the greenhouses in almost the whole year. In winter the open gardens could seem a bit sad but a stop into the beautiful restaurant-bar will be enough to enjoy the time you would like to spent chilling out after have visited the greenhouses, in... If you are interested in the garden, don't miss this place. Big, well maintained and lovely place for tourists and local residents.

The place is amazing, the gardens are great and beautiful and the little café is very friendly and a haven. I tried the Apple starudel there and it was just the best dessert ever. After that we headed to the greenhouses. It is actually like an addenture and theya re all different making you travel through time and all over... More

Very easy to by tram. The botanical garden is divided into several green houses filled with a rich diverse world collection. The English audio guide was instrumental in making the visit more enjoyable. For children there is an area where you can observe butterflies as well

We were really impressed with the size of this place and varieties of plants. Go to the orchid house and see all the turtles. In another house there is a huge old fish....over 50 years old...from India I think. Man he is ugly!

We live in Munich and the botanical gardens are great for a few hours on any day during the year. One of the great things is the yearly butterfly exhibit between December and March.

Even in winter the botanical garden is super place to visit. Of course time your visit wisely - come in early. Plenty of plants, cactuses, and till March 2017 also exposition of butterflies. There is even a dedicated area where one can have a quick bite. Ticket costs €5,50.

Around a week ago went with my family and two other families to visit the botanical garden in Munich and show the butterfly exposition to the kids. It was a pretty cold, but very sunny winter day so after spending some one hour inside with the butterflies and the turtles we decided to go out and do the round walk... More

Was a wonderful experience even in the cooler months of February. Great to go either rain or shine. The indoor botanical gardens are beautiful, especially the butterfly gardens.
