We visited while there was a great exhibition for the Siglio Doro from El Greco to Velasquez. I was lucky to have seen the El Greco paintings in Crete, Greece so some of them I already knew. There were paintings exhibited from different corners of the planet and was well planned. Sculptures were also part of the exhibition and in... More

One of the must to see museums in Munich. Spanish painters exhibition was very good. But, they have very rude personnel. We would like to give our bags to cloakroom but lady refused to talk with us English, shouted out German. They can`t expect us to speak German, museum personnel in a very touristic city at least must speak basic... More

Although very expensive, this museum has the best expositions in town. I always try to come and taking a guide, totally worth it!

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the Joaquin Sorolla exhibition on of its last days. I rarely happen upon his pictures abroad -- I recommend visiting the Sorolla Museum in Madrid, if you should happen to be in the city -- so this was an unexpected bonus to my stay in Munich. The museum shop, however, was... More

Hypo has dedicated its art at this kind of hub. Definitely recommend this for art fans during a rainy or colder day.

Brilliant artist, worth a visit! Depending of your preference of style. His colour choices and the way he builds up the colours in his paintings is wonderful!

The Kunsthalle has some of the most interesting exhibitions. If you are fortunate, there may be something very special on display.

Such a well laid out exhibit - The display was large and presented very well, with lots of discussion groups about the pieces in German as I walked through. Friendly staff, lovely affordable shop, very tidy well maintained bathroom and locker/cloakroom facilities

This review is about the Gaultier exhibition. The show is incredibly expansive and uses interesting presentation solutions (talking mannequins who all look like Gaultier himself, great lighting etc.). It was a pleasure to have seen it. Whoever selected the looks and dealt with borrowing them for the show did a great job. The bad part is that they are letting... More

I visited the Gaultier exhibition here. I loved it, one of the best exhibitions I've been to in a fantastic venue. It was the highlight of my holiday. The museum area was spacious and the visit was unhurried. Staff were friendly and helpful.
