Huge complex of buildings makes this one of the most enjoyable museums you will ever visit. Plan to spend a great portion of the day there since there are so many exhibits and rooms to see.

Loved this zoo! A great way to spend time in Munich and see lots of happy animals. Very well-maintained as well.

I'm seriously disappointed with the zoo. We've been before, a few years ago and although I understand that maintaining and expanding the zoo is important, I ask if charging more for reduced facilities is really a good business model. Obviously, that's rhetorical. Additionally perhaps some...More

Two short visits to Munich and we have visited this zoo twice! It is huge, housing all kinds of animals - prepare to be impressed by it! Clean, animals well taken care of, lovely enclosures. It is not expensive and deserves a good 3 hours...More

One of the better zoos we have ever visited. Work is being done to make it even better for the animals. Great place to walk and enjoy.

We made the short trip from Marienplatz to visit the zoo and were pleasantly surprised at the sprawling park and easy viewing of multiple animals. There are plenty of snack and food options although they are what you would expect from a public park eatery....More

I wasn't expecting much as the zoo is over 100 years old, but I was blown away. This is the best Zoo I've ever visited, I'd live in the Elephant house!!! Lots of space, nice and flat so getting around is easy. Brilliantly designed enclosures...More

The first impression is that of a park rather than a zoo There's a lot of green and not so much enclosures with bars around to be seen, the space for the animals is fairly bigger respects to the average zoo and most of all...More

When we went (in January) we spent a few hours there certainly not a whole day. Might take longer if it's busier though (it was quiet and snowy when I visited)
