A beautiful park in the centre of the City

You can enjoy only if you go as a group. Going alone is kinda boring. Good for walking or jogging. It covers vast amount of area and has many entry and exit points. If you like beer or spending on outside stuff, then the "Chinese Tower" is good hangout point.

We visited in December (Winter) and still loved it. The park is very large (bigger than New York's Central Park). The Lake at one end is lovely with lots of swans and ducks. There are beer halls and water canals throughout the park. The flowing water canals are really lovely, and make for a real feeling of being no where... More

Lovely to walk round and with a delightful Christmas Market in the middle of it by the Chinese Pagoda. Exciting to watch the surfers on the flowing water from the bridge - even at the end of November (most unexpected!).

Even in December, this was a lovely place for a nice long walk. Plenty of joggers, dogs (with their humans) and families. I can only imagine how lovely this place is in the warmer months. Only caution is to be aware of where you enter the park, as it's easy to get a little disoriented if you take a long... More

There's no place like The English Garden. Beautiful park with lots to see or just get a good walk in. Nice place to go all natural in the sun too...if that's your thing. Best Bier Gartens in the world!

Thought this was the coolest place in the summer. Crowded, but so big that you can find areas that are quieter. Cool surfing in the park, lovely large beer garden. Would recommend

If you are in Munich, you must see this place. Such a beautifully maintained garden. Calm, serene and a perfect place for a long walk. Spread over almost 3 km sq. The garden has water stream/fall flowing around , lash green terrain/ground, a Monoptero, the Japanese tea house and an area for foods and all. You can easily spent 2... More

We took a walk in the park on early December. The view is monotonous . The trees are quite naked and the whole scene is grey. The best thing out there is the Chinese tower. There was a lovely Christmas market nearby. Summery- there are a lot of Christmas market in Munich. Take the tour only if you done all... More

If you are in Munich and like running you have to head here. Whilst in the city you feel like you are in the forest. Enjoy

This is one of the biggest urban parks in the world. I especially enjoyed one particular place. There is a standing wave in the Eisbach river at the begging of the park. All year long surfers come there and surf the wave.
