English garden is a beautiful place to walking or running. There are good spaces where you can seat or even lay down to rest or appreciate the nature. You can also try some beers near to China tower that is located inside the park.

This is a must see in Munich no matter what the season! Go for a walk or biking, have a picnic, watch the surfers on the Eisbach and have a beer and local food in one of the multiple beergartens. The music on the main beergarten on the weekends is a huge extra!

The coolest part of the English garden are the surfers. Yeah! You read that right. There is a constant wave on the stream and there are always surfers showing off on it. Cool and unique to see in a giant park in the middle of a city nowhere near the ocean. I only walked through the remainder of the park... More

It was raining when we went so the garden was not in it's full glory! We did enjoy a pint at one of the stops. The walk path was comfortable and we would have loved to see more of this park if only the weather agreed. Definately leave time to spend in this park and explore.

Tons of space to walk, ride bikes, and relax. The Monopteros is beautiful to see and the Chinese Biergarten has fabulous food!

The English garden provides a great respite from the humdrum of the city. A vast expanse of green set against the riverside makes for a favorite picnic spots amongst locals, dog lovers, bikers, baby stroller pushers and beer lovers. Just walk, take a bike ride, jog, sit, relax or take a dip in the river. A Must See and do... More

Nice place to chillout at with a couple of beers. Go here on a lazy sunday, maybe hangover from all good beers you will find in München.

As someone who grew up in Manhattan and lived a bunch of years in London, I feel i know great inner city parks. The English Garden which is about 2x size of NYC's Central Park is the equal to any city park I know. Enjoy in particular the surfers surfing on the white water stream
