Really beautiful park with many miles of paths... worth getting a copy of the map and working out what you want to see and plot a route! Obviously popular with locals and tourists as an 'escape' from the busy streets of Munich! Worth a visit...

Such a beautiful place to walk and coming across these grave guys surfing on the river, which apparently they are not allowed to do, was amazing.

It may not be the best in the world, but it will run in the front with other top ones. It's a must see (and must feel) in Munich for garden lovers, and you need to put apart an entire day for it, to walk 20 or 30 kilometres along its green, along the river bank, around the lake, and... More

Did a hop on tour with Greyline Tours and this was 1 of the stops near the Nazi Museum so so much to see. It was winter but still beautiful. Safe, clean and good for pics

Stunning, must-visit park. We visited in early Dec on a cold, sunny morning, and it was beautiful! Well maintained, clean and tidy, and a lovely communal feel to it.

Lovely to walk around the English Gardens and get away from the crowds. There's a nice little cafe, and lots of walkways. The waves with surfers on are fun to watch (especially this time of year!).

Just inside the gardens is the cutest cafe ever ; stove, teeny stools, quiet music, pretty surroundings...think it was once a ladies loo. Plus the surfers just outside....quite bizarre!
