If you want to find a rest, do a walk, do some boating, you're right there. Many old trees, green lawn. In summer thousands of people laying there enjoying the sunshine. A good example for an old park. It's a must to visit when you are in munich.

We enjoyed strolling through this park. We happened upon surfers in the river. I definitely recommend checking that out!

I was amazed at how clean the park was and how many people were just hanging out under the trees and swimming and surfing in the river that runs through it.It looks more like an area outside the city, with lawns, small forests, river, wildlife, especially birds. Of course there are also places where you can play sports, have a... More

To me a trip to Munich isnt the same without a trip to the English Garden. Spring/Summertime youll find a great Biergarten at the Chinese Tower, which is also my personal favourite ;-) You can walk for hours and even bump into some naked people sunbathing (which is legal apparently ). Its also great to watch the Surfers.

This is a must if you visit Munich. Large, open park, and there's a place to grab some great German food and beer at the Chinese Tower.

A perfect winter walk, I assume it is even more impressive and busy during spring/summer. It is a very big park so plan to spend at least 3-4 hours.

Escape from the city to spend a morning wandering around and taking in the gorgeous scenery of the park - it's huge, so you could even pack a picnic and make a day of it. You must go see the surfers too - we spent a good hour watching them and it was one of the highlights of my trip... More

This is a lovely place to visit. It is relaxing and informal. We enjoyed a walk through the English Garden and found a lovely little Christmas market. The views from the top are really good, even on a cold and windy day.

The English Garden in Munich has always been one of its star attractions and given its humongous size, you can easily spend a day here and still not see all of it. There is so much to do right from lazing around and drinking beer at one of the beer gardens to surfing in one the streams to walking your... More
