Our tour guide Angus did an incredible job of keeping us from getting lost and run down by bicycles. There was a great group of people from all walks of life and i had a great time as a solo traveller meeting people on this crawl. I recommend this tour 100% and if i ever come back to Munich i will be doing this tour again.

The Oktoberfest experience was the highlight of our trip to Europe. Tim eagerly answered all of our questions and helped us buy our tracht. Wearing the lederhosen and dirndil helped us fit in and really get into the festivities! Angus was hilarious and provided a light take on the history and key information for the city and festival. Although it was a large group (50 people) we had prime seating, great service, and met some wonderful people as part of the experience. Highly recommended.

We booked the Size matters beer tour. For 5 people it was £99.

The tour guide Christine was excellent. She spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about Munich and beer. The first stop was the Augustina Keller. We were fortunate that there was a band playing, who were great. We just ended the tour and the entire group stayed there for the rest of the night. Excellent.

One of the best nights out ever.

We had a blast at Oktoberfest this September with Lauren as our awesome guide! Her enthusiasm and knowledge created an unforgettable experience. From lively beer tents to cultural insights, Lauren's guidance added a special touch to the festivities. Prost to a well-planned and enjoyable tour!

Didn't like this tour... Mostly going to expensive places buying unnecessary booze. The drinking and paying was the main thing about this tour, and many bad taste jokes. The tour is good for college people or people who wants to get drunk as fast as possible and pay double for it.

We gathered at one of the hostels, payed 15 euros each, got three "free drinking" tickets as the advertisement says, but those tickets are good only for the hostel where we met so you can get drunk either before or after the tour.
The first stop was another hostel in which we could buy beer and drink it as fast as possible.
The second stop was a beer garden where we could buy one liter of hackerpfshor beer.
The third stop was a bar with "cheap" cocktails.
at that point we left. that's not what a beer tour in the "beer capital of the world" supposed to look like.

All the places we went to are mentioned in every free tourist map you get anywhere in munich and the German people are really great, so if you want to hang out with people, don't pay for it - just go out.

Great group of people but a terrible guide. While playing a drunking game beer spilt on his "500 euro" jacket. He told me to pay him 50 euro or he would call the cops. Obviously I left. Probably much better options out there.

My friends and I had an awesome time at this beer tour. Dani and Asha were amazing tour guides. They were both friendly and enthusiastic. We went to several beer gardens and met new people and had a great time. Def recommend this tour... you won't regret it!

We paid for the tour in advance for April 11. Unfortunately, we were the only 2 people to show up, and they couldn't do the tour with only 2 people, so they offered to refund our money back to my credit card. Two weeks later I noticed I still hadn't gotten a refund, so I emailed them about it. They routinely take 7 to 10 days to respond, and when they do they play dumb. I have had to get my credit card company involved, but it still isn't settled. It jas been well over a month. Just don't give these people money up front!! Show up on the day with cash in hand.

It's worth noting what was promised and what was delivered
*"Starts at 8pm": 8.45 more like, the intention is clear to get you to buy a drink or two before you do.
*Three free drinks: Yes, but only redeemable in the one hostel (the one you start at), you get these tokens shortly before you leave so you'll probably need to redeem them at a later night
* Historic Beer Halls: Nope. The pubs we were taken to were pretty anonymous, and in all but one of them we stayed outside in empty beer gardens.
* Opportunity for food: None that I saw

It's a boozy pub crawl (which is to be expected), and you do get to meet some fun people. However the actual organised part was pretty lacklustre.

Hi Luke, Thank you for your review. We always appreciate the honest opinions of all that have come on our tours. We take great pride in offering fun and unique tours of Munich's finest beer gardens and halls, and while we may hit really close to a perfect experience with a majority of our tours, it is known to us that there are times when things might just slip out of our control. We never know how many people to expect on a tour so there are times when sign up might take a little longer than expected, or the tour guide has had some bad luck arranging for reservations at the beer halls for the evenings tour. Hence the longer waiting time. We chose our starting point because they have the best Happy Hour in Munich - €2 beer is hard to beat. Also, the tokens for your drinks are designed so that you can make your money back at the end of the crawl when one gets back to the traveller bar. A lot of beer gardens close when the weather isn't good, in which case we usually take our fun-loving guests to beer halls to try and keep them dry and happy. Again, like many other possible scenarios there is always something that can go wrong. It sounds like you might have gotten a little un-lucky with the day that you went on the tour. :( We would be happy to offer you some sort of compensation for a less than promised experience. Please contact me at: Timmeh@sizemattersbeertour.de Warm Regards, Tim

We skipped the lines, had a spot in a tent and actually then when tent hopping. Worth every penny. We stayed within walking distance of Oktoberfest so transportation was not an issue. So much fun, met great people, our leader met us, made sure we were comfortable and all set and there was nothing left to do but drink beer, eat and have fun!
