My friend and I took this tour on our first day in Munich with Rut. She was an excellent tour guide: enthusiastic, funny, engaging, knowledgable, and kind. Despite it being a fairly large group, she managed to make everybody feel included. I learned SO much...More

My friend and I bought the day tour to Salzburg, Austria. They said we would get an email receipt but we didn't. We didn't panic and decide to show up at the meeting point on the day of the tour. No one showed up and...More

The tour went well for us. Not an overabundance of food, but it wasn't expected. You get to taste several unique foods that are local to Munich. We had a good time and guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We were able to taste foods...More

I had been on this tour in 2017, but went this time in Nov 2018 with my dad and sister. Both my dad and I have a good knowledge of the origins of world war one and two, the rise of national socialism etc. As...More

A really good tour with a knowledgeable guide. The focus of the tour is more on the origins of the city as opposed to its prominence in more recent history. This didn't detract away from the enjoyment of the tour and the interesting facts we...More

Although something of a cliche to say something is a “must see”, this tour is definitely to be recommended if visiting. Our guide, Cornelia, was excellent. She managed the journey efficiently, despite local weekend rail works making this tricky. She had an impressive and thorough...More

The tour guide explained the history in a concise, easily understandable way. The tour is completely thought-provoking. If you are interested in historical events that shaped Germany today, you can't miss this.

We learned a lot about the Dachau concentration camp, one being that it was the longest active concentration camp. The on site museum was also very informative. This tour does require quite a bit of walking. We also stopped and the Nazi shooting range and...More

There is currently a free walking tour from the Wombat Hostel that is donation based. About 3 hours long, touches a lot of the highlights near the city center. Highly recommended.
