One of the cityś four royal avenues. It stretches between the Maximilaneum, where the Bavarian Parliament is based, to Max-Joseph Platz with the Residence and the National Theater. Along the street there are many buildings in the neo-Gothic style and this is Munich's premier address for luxury shopping. There is a wide selection of galleries, designer shops and luxury stores as well as historic luxury hotels (Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten).

Possibly one of the most exclusive shopping streets in Munich. It is a street that stands out for having luxury shops housed in some magnificent buildings. Not quite as comparable to Bond Street or Knightsbridge of London, but a good way to waste money on expensive items or window shopping if you don't have that kind of money to waste.

This is one of 4 royal avenues in the city of Munich. Its total length is about 1100 metres in west-east direction. The street starts at Max-Joseph-Platz and runs toward Maximilianeum (Bavarian Parliament). This elegant street represents some of the most beautiful examples of co-called neo-gothic style. Plan for the street dates back from 1850. Today, the street is full of the most prestigious designer clothes and jewelry stores like Chopard, Cartier, Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Blancpain, Fendi, Versace, Loro Piana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Dior, Valentino, Hublot, Bottega Veneta, Hermes, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Stone Island, Ralph Lauren, Jil Sander, Escada, Bally, Omega, Hugo Boss, Belstaff, Gucci, Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Bulgari etc. and truly represents luxury shopping paradise for shopping lovers and window shoppers also. Beside fashion stores, there are also 5 theatres (Nationaltheater, Residenztheater, Cuvilliés-Theater, Münchner Kammerspiele and GOP Variete-Theater), many cafes, Regierung von Oberbayern, Museum Five Continents and one of the most famous city 5-stars hotel Four Seasons Kempinski Hotel. When you are in Munich this avenue is just must see. Absolutely worth a visit!

Maximillianstrasse at Munich is the place for all people who don't care about their bank account!
You will find nearly every high end fashion designer in between of expensive cafes and jewellers.
See all the expensive sport- and luxury cars driving up and down.
And enjoy the old and very nice bulidings at the street.
As long as you not a billionaire just walk one up and down and see the expensive/luxury side of the world.
Good for car- and celebrity spotters!

Great to wander this street in both directions window shoping. Clothes, jewellery, and food in hotels directly on this street, and just off it. A must see on all visits to the city. Christmas is a glorious time to see it in all its finery

The Maximilianstraße in Munich is one of the city's four royal avenues. It starts at Max-Joseph-Platz, now Maximilianstraße has the distinction of the highest retail rents in Germany.

The Maximillianstrasse is a very luxurious shopping street with beautiful buildings. Maximillianstrasse is not very central street but close to mareinplatz shopping street.

one of the best street to stay if you like elegance and style of shopping.

note. this location after my fav location in Munich marienplatz
