Very interesting place for a beer

We really enjoyed sitting in the beer garden and having a beer stein. Can also get really nice pretzels.

Anyone visiting Munich must visit at least one of the brewery pubs and/or beer garden. We found this one in great form with a brass band accompanying the drinking and eating, with young and old alike thoroughly enjoying themselves. Great traditional surroundings.

We called into this place having seen it recommended on the tourist map. I am glad we did. It is a huge place with a brass band playing, food being served in abundance to a good standard and of cours the beer. I sampled the local traditional fare of sausage and sauerkraut which was lovely. There is a terrace upstairs... More

Great for families and couples alike. If you dont want the craziness of Oktoberfest but still want to see a traditional German Bavarian environment this is the place for you. From the Beer to the food it is an all around joy to observe. The tables are a seat yourself, first come first serve style and Germans love to stick... More

Does this place have Germany's best Bier? Nope. Best food? No But it's hard to argue with this being the world's #1 Bier Hall. You will get swept into a multicultural beer fed ambiance. It really is a special and somewhat surreal experience. Prices are fair. Prepare to share a table where the only common language is bier. Tourist trap?... More

A really big beer house with many tourist and local guest. They have several rooms, however the place was almost full when we went there. They have only 1l beer (0.5l only from the wheat), and the waiter was not too fast. We had our seat in the garden which was really nice. This place is an important part of... More

I don't normally drink beer but when visiting somewhere like Munich it'd be rude not to give it a go. So we visited the famous Hoffbrauhaus and sampled a stein of their finest. The beer was actually very pleasant, but it was the atmosphere that i enjoyed the most. We were sat on a long table with complete strangers being... More

This can be quite a daunting and noisy place to walk into, but there are so many rooms and areas for you to sit and enjoy if you are not brave or keen on the main busy hall :) My fella and I enjoyed a meal and few drinks out on the terrace above the outdoor beer garden. The service... More

Yes it is loud and busy and you will be pushed but it is a place for people watching and an absolute must in Munich. The real Munich guys have their enormous beer glasses locked away and use the same lass every visit. Peek in...if nothing else
