The church's architecture and adornments are impressive, but the real benefit of a visit is the almost 300 stair climb to the top of the bell tower. The views of Historic Munich are breathtaking, and worth every step. We went around the time they opened (10am in the offseason) and had no line and no waiting. It could very well... More

Fantastic no matter how you slice it. Great lines, wonderful gold Altar Piece and interesting ice chapels. Spectacular.

If staying in Munich going up this church tower is a must! It is very cheap to do (they even do student prices for international student tourists!). It does feel a bit of a hike with winding stairs but what do you expect from a church tower. You can see the bells on your way up which is a nice... More

I stumbled upon this beauty while meandering through the most touristy section of Munich. Believers or non-believers alike will appreciate the beauty. Not as grand as the Dresden church, but it has its own beauty and is well worth a visit. It won't take much time out of your day. I didn't know there was a bell tower to climb,... More

This church is very nice. You can pray there because it is quite and smell incense. The view of the belfry is fantastic!

Beautiful interior of church! Just came upon it while walking around and spent a few peaceful moments inside admiring the beauty of this church.

If you take the slightly precarious stairs up to the bell tower there is an incredible view of the square and the city.

After visiting Rome many times I didn't think i would be impressed by more churches. Even though St Peters is not amazing like the one in Dresden it is still an impressive sight. I wouldn't go out of your way to find it but if it's on your path then definitely pop inside

A small staircase with more than 300 steps has to be climbed for an excellent view. On clear days you can even see the alps!!

While the inside is beautiful, you must go to the top of the tower for 3 euros. I went in January so it wasn't crowded but it was cold. Totally worth it! I love seeing cities from above and the tower allows you to do so. There are bars (not for drinks) up top to stop you from going over... More
