There was a room downstairs where you could listen to an old-fashioned CD changer to hear major... More

What a place. This town is so picturesque. I can't wait to go back next year. Everything is within walking distance. No car needed.

To sit in the library listening to the Alpine Symphony with a full score whilst seeing the... More

Nicely landscaped grounds, can walk your dog too. The Institute has regular events, in June there was a celebration of his birthday anniversary.

While absorbing enough for those with a fairly general interest, it is sufficiently detailed not to patronise the more serious Strauss fan, for whom the connection must be a major attraction when visiting Garmisch. There is an attractive recital room and on the top... More
