Interesting both from historical perspective (1936 Olympics) and my first look at ski jumps close up. Visited on way to and from Partnach Gorge, lucky to have excellent weather. Nice lunch on terrace of restaurant at bottom of ski jumps.

Visited the stadium where the 1936 Winter Olympics were held. You can walk around the seats and part of the stadium. Also at the back of the stadium is the giant slalom Track. This has been rebuilt recently. Definitely worth a look.

Our family had a blast on the zip line over the Olympic ski jump. We also had a great time on the bobsleds! Definitely a fun experience for the whole family!

This place pleasantly surprised me! I have walked past it several times, and never really stopped to go inside. This time, I'm glad I did! If you're a history or sports buff, this place should be enough of a draw as it was the home...More

We went for the ski jumping, a magestical site to see. Warm wine, cow bells ringing and crowds yelling. Great day for the whole family.

If you have never seen various ski jumps up close, go here, go anyway, you will enjoy. Ample parking.

Spectacular ski jump ramp and an interesting piece of Hitlerite German history! It would be great to attend an event if this co-incided with a visit to Garmisch

Interesting to see ski jumps up close. Some thought provoking reminders of the 1936 Olympics. We visited on the way to the Partnach Gorge and the walk through the stadium certainly added value

We recently visited the stadium after a hike in and around Partnachklamm. You look around an empty park and can read some placards on the walls, but there really isn't too much to it. There was a local soccer practice from a nearby school going...More

The drive to get to the Olympic stadium was nice...and you can park here and walk to a beautiful gorge...the stadium itself is not too interesting overall. There is a café inside the stadium.

Yes stadium is open daily, the restaurant there has hours that change with the seasons. And outdoor events are held there from time to time. Google Garmisch to see if any events will be during your visit.

Gästehaus Brigitte in Garmisch. Great place, centrally located. The owner is very helpful and friendly. We will always stay there when visiting Garmisch.
