If you are looking for an economical ski vacation this is the place! Hotels are reasonable and bus service makes it convenient. It was half the cost of a Colorado trip and scenery was wonderful.

It was my first visit in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I felt in love with this place and surrounding places eg.Zugspitze ( highest mountain in Germany)We visited at the end of the winter But still it was just beautiful . you can reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen and around everywhere by your private car or public transportation. I highly recommend this place for Perfect holiday.

The Garmisch "half" of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a great place to enjoy the outdoors no matter what the temperature or the weather. Lots of little shops both for tourists and non tourists. If you forget your hiking gear there are more than enough places to get sturdy shoes or clothing if you need it - scarves, hats, sweaters, etc. The restaurants are very good with a solid mix of traditional and more modern German (and other ethnicities) cooking.
