Garmisch is a cute village where the Winter Olympics were held years ago. Its about 80 miles away from Munich by train. Lots of shopping and places to eat. Beautiful scenery.

We spent a week in Garmish and had the best time. What a beautiful relaxing village. The people were very friendly and the shops and restaurants were wonderful. We went in the Summer and would love to go back during the Winter months to experience...More

We bought a combi ticket for €69.00 covered two days, the Classic and the Zugspitze trips, most economical ticket to do the top excursions from Garmisch Partenkirchen. We had two great days in the mountains.

It is a very nice location for a walk. Only the signs for tourists on the way should be more frequent and more visible!

Plenty to keep intermediates busy for two days. The black Kandahar runs are steel and smooth, no moguls. Apres ski was basic near lifts, but excellent value.

Great location, great town with lots to do in the local area. All of King Ludwigs castles are within a 2 hour drive, Munich is an hour and a half and Austria is right across the mountains.

If you are an outdoor type of person this area is just fabulous. Wonderful walks with great views all around. The mountains you can visit are superb but there are lovely lowland walks as well. Great choice of sporting activities for summer and winter
