First of all we took the zugspitzbahn train and got off at Kreuizig (?) Then we took the cable car to the top of the mountain, which was really exciting - if you manage to stand in front, watch out for some surprises !! Arriving...More

Cable car up to viewing platforms and touristy area. 80 tourists every 10 minutes are despatched onto the mountain but get away from the top and suddenly the mountain is returned to quietness. You can take several tourist paths around the top of the mountain...More

We did a day hike and took the cable car to Alpsitz one way which was reasonably priced. My wife took the return trip which was about 29 Euro and much less than Zugspitz which was 58 Euro return, but much higher. The restaurant at...More

We visited Alpspitze on our last day of a 2-week trip to Austria and Germany. What a wonderful way to end our vacation! We were a little short on time, so we opted for this mountain instead of Zugspitze, and we were not disappointed. It's...More

This was some of the steepest hiking we've ever done, but worth the trip! The views are incredible and the ride down on the cable car made it all worth it. Great food at the top, lots of views in all directions, and the reward...More

The Alpspitzbahn gondola trip from the base station at 758 m to the top station at 2045 meters is breathtaking... Then take a glass of local bier with a salty Breze or enjoy one Spritzer!

Most amazing views!!! Great snack areas at the end of each ride. The walk from 2nd to 3rd car was not short! Very long & difficult for some. Would have liked more accurate description.

Beautiful views, nice small hikes, awesome (but scary) sky bridge! The clouds pass quickly through so make sure to bring layers even in the summer because it can get chilly and then warm quickly!

This was a fun few hours. We took the Kreuzeckbahn cable car up and then a nice walk ( about 30 min) to the Hochalmbahn cable car up to Alpspitz and then the Alpspitzbahn cable car down. Beautiful views as the skies were blue and...More

First of all, go on a clear day, if you can. We went in September and there was snow at the top. We spent about 30-40 minutes there. I would recommend a minimum of 15 minutes, if it is windy, up to 1 hour, if the weather... More
