Main shopping street of Garmisch, quite some luxurious shops, nice terraces and typical houses, good for a nice stroll.

Very pretty painted buildings on the street, which are cobbled. Best to check as some shops close on one half day during the week. Great for souvenirs etc.

Based on the other reviews, I expected to be able to spend an afternoon wandering along this street, but except for a lovely bakery/pastry shop, there is not much to see or do on this street. It is true that many of the buildings have...More

Winding cobbled street, lined with boutique shops and hotels / guest houses. Just a pleasant street to wander up and down, even in the rain. One way for traffic - coming from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, it was a challenge to find the access to Ludwigstrasse to locate...More

Very ornate and beautiful building I am amazed at all the detail carvings along the building. When you stop and think this was done by hand. Wow.

Our hotel was an easy walk from the Ludwigstrasse. We enjoyed our evening strolls. There are plenty of good restaurants and neat shops to be found here.

It's a shame we discovered this street on the last day of our trip. While Kurpark is the main, busy street on the other side of town, this one has beautiful architecture, great restaurants and very cosy atmosphere that feels less commercial and crowded. Must...More
