It's not worth visiting lautersee lake on nearby farchensee lake as their is nothing much. Do visit the mesmerising alpsee lake which is about 40km from mittenwald.its one of the best lakes in the world

The lake is beautiful and is quite easy to reach, with a 30-45 minute uphill stroll from town. Unfortunately there are a few buildings on the shore that ruin the natural setting, and the place can get rather busy with people.
It worth 30 minutes of hiking! Fantastic place with awesome views on a lake and mountains. Lake with lots of fish and ducks. Nice restaurants around the lake with fine food and great beer. Amazing atmosphere and absolutely astonishing air. Highly recommended to visit!
Perfect Spot Just 30 minutes walk from Mittenwald. The lake is Amazing And if You visited during summer You Can also swimm there. The Water it's a little bit Cold but After 5 minutes You Will have An Amazing feeling for Just swimm there.
Nice lake and good for family. A nice (and short) walk from Mittenwald, either flat or through a mini-gorge area. The lake is clean and good for swimming. There are also a couple spots along the lake to get food.
