So nice the trip on a Boat

Very interesting place to be on a boat in the meddle of the mountains , its like a secret , hidden into the woods but by sure a good experience.

The Konigssee is absolutely beautiful and a must see if you're in the area. My sister and I visited for a day and took a walk around the lake to a viewpoint and then hired a row boat for a few hours, to avoid the huge numbers of tourists on the boat out to the island.

It's one of the best lakes i have seen in my life...he Königssee, or King’s Lake, is an angelic emerald fjord lined by powerful Alpine mountains that never fails to wow its visitors. Nestled in a valley between the Jenner, Hagen, and Watzmann Mountains, Königssee is Bavaria’s deepest lake at 630 feet deep. Rare species of fish swim in the... More

Very popular boat trip so get there early to avoid the bun fight to buy tickets. Boats leave every 20 minutes and well organised embarkation. Serene scenery and bugle echo bonus on route to St. Bartholomae tourist trap where oldies tend to get off for a potter around and have a long lunch. To avoid the masses, go on to... More

I have been here many times, and never get tired of the view of Lake Konigssee. the boat trip is good value for money, and takes you to the island of St Bartholomew to the church and restaurant, great walks, and a spectacular view of the mountains and lake. Konigssee has lots of small shops to pick up a gift... More

Go to Konigssee if you can and go for a swim. Enjoy the scenery, eat, drink, and take photos as this place is particularly spectacular.

A place you really must see when visiting Berchtesgaden. The sea view is breathtaking! A lot of nice restaurants around so make a day of it.

Don't let queues for ticket office put you off. They move quickly, but check if shorted queues for kiosk 1 and 3. We joined main queue only to discover this was forkiosk 2 and we could have waited less time. Do get there early if possible. Lake has beautiful views and is very peaceful.

Spent a couple hours here after visiting the salt mine. Lots of food and tourists, there are boat trips available that take visitors up the lake and stops along the way. We didn't do that. Scenery is amazing!
