The highest lake in the Alpes. Touring the peaceful town, than taking the electric boat to St. Bartholomae. The short cruise is 30 minutes long, there is a longer tour of 1 hour.

The tour of the lake was beautiful and entertaining. We got off at the last stop and hiked back to the Alm at the end of the Obersee, where we had fresh milk, and cheese and bread. Gorgeous scenery, good food, amazing waterfall.

We did a recce the night before on the boat trips as we heard they get busy very quickly. So we arrived at 0900 hours ready to go. No problems at all, we got on the boat all the way to the Obersee. Got off at the Obersee stop & walked for an hour into the hills. Very nice views... More

The lake is beautiful, yet not highly accessible either for riding or hiking. The whole site is overcrowded and the open market street that leads to the lake add to the vulgarity of the atmosphere. All in all a disappointing experience. We visited for the value of nature views not the price of the market.

A cruise on Konigssee is enjoyable. The water is clear & calm. Fresh air & a gentleman playing his trumpet, the music echoed in the valley. Simply out of the world!

What a wonderful way to spend a day in the German Alps. This lake is so beautiful, and so peaceful. The boat ride is in electric boats, so you are just silently gliding in the water marveling at the amazing mountains. At the end of the lake there is about a 15 minute hike to another lake and waterfall that... More

Absolutely beautiful lake clear green lake surrounded by trees and waterfalls. We took a boat with a guide who lucky us was also speaking in English it was a very nice day so it was a bit crowed but it was worth the wait for the boat. You can stop and take a walk or hike it is just magical.

This lake is absolument fantastic, water is clear and trasparent. You can do a lot of things (swimming, walking. sailing or go by ferry on the lake). You must spend a day here.

Absolutely gorgeous lake. They have boats that go up the lake and stop 1/2 way to let people on/off so you can access sites The entire trip is about two hours and the boats leave on the hour. There're are places to eat, ice cream and lots of little shops for nice souvenirs. There's also fabulous hiking around the lake,... More
