I found the Stuttgart Christmas Market to be among the best in Europe. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of stalls and the quality of the crafts and goods for sale. It can be overwhelming at times when the crowds are there, but just go with the flow and at your pace and you will have an excellent experience. The food offering and wine are very good. Just enjoy the strolling, the food, and the drinks and get into the Christmas spirit - if you don't then you must be a Scrooge.…

They decorate their booths to compete for top booth. So very creative and fun to see. There are booths with handmade items along with many types of food booths. You can go multiple times and see something or eat something different every time. Go a little before dark and stay into the evening. Take the train so you can drink all the different types of Glühwein (muled/spiced wiine), perfect on cold night. So many Christmas markets nearby, Esslingen, Gengenbach, but so little time!…
