A group of 18 of us took the train from downtown Stuttgart direct to the theater and had a most enjoyable evening. Although the musical was in German, it was very easy to follow the story line. We were all impressed with the quality of the production as well as the convenience and comfort of the theater.

My wife and I decided to see if the musical Tarzan was all it was made out to be...it was, and a whole lot more.We had third row seats to the right side of the stage, but still had a complete view of the entire show. The acrobatics with the actors as monkeys was amazing. Being able to pre-order drinks for the intermission is a good way to avoid lines during the break. Well worth the price of a category 1 ticket.

The show was technical perfect. Well, only technical, because I don't like the Phil Collins' music - it is not my style. The actors are real proffesionals, without any doubt. The whole atmosphere is magic and the apes are flying through the air and over our heads. Tarzan is handsome :) and you can see that all is a solide team work. So: for those who like and for those who don't like Phil Collins's music it is A MUST.

Unique 3-D experience with cast coming down the aisles and swinging above your heads.
Best seats would be about 10 back from the front to better enjoy everything they have to offer. (We were in row 21.)
The jungle sounds before the show and during the intermission help get you in the mood.
More expensive than I would've preferred. My girlfriend, her Mom, and I all thought that it was only worth 1/3 of the price. (We wouldn't have normally paid that, but it was a special occasion.)
The volume for the music was too loud at the beginning, but they got it under control. But only for the first half. After intermission, it was back up again. We were covering our ears to keep from going deaf.
It was all in German (of course), including the famous Phil Collins song. Even without understanding most words, you still got the feeling of what was going on from the acting and music.
My girlfriend thought it was completely boring. I only had 2 times where I was trying to stay awake.

Hallo,

Hi all I'm hoping to spend a mini break in Stuttgart around mid October and I am hoping to see this show. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels that are walking distance to and from this theatre? Thank you
