Beautiful zoo and gardens. Be sure to visit the butterfly house with a cast of bats and butterflies. Loved it. Zoo is easy to get to via public transport or you can walk from the Schlossgarden.

They have plenty of animals from all around the world. The biggest section though is for the Gorillas and they have some good information about them too. They have also the Saumatran tiger and some other interesting animals you dont get to see except if you go safaris to Africa. I felt sad that the polar bear they had there... More

Very cool zoo where you can see animals like elephants and hippos up close. Tons of different insects and species of fish as well. Immensely enjoyed my visit!

The Botanical Garden is truly beautiful and the zoo is a good size. Just very sad to see the condition of the animals cages. The leopard and tiger enclosures are tiny

Even though I saw many Zoos around the world I highly recommend this one. The reasons are: whether or not you are interest in animals, it is just a lovely place to walk around. The focus is on many species which are threatened with extinction. Last but not least it is also a place with lovely gardens, pavilions and even... More

I've been visiting this zoo for close to thirty years now, and each time I am impressed. The variety of animals, gardens, greenhouses and landscaping is simply awesome. I am usually unimpressed by aquariums, but the one at Wilhelma just fantastic. On top of this, the, the entrance price is a fraction of the price of similar places in England... More

Great zoo and botanic garden. Good for visiting in summer (suny/cloudy days). If rainy you can see only closed pavilion of botanic garden & terrarium.

Although not particularly zoo lovers, we found this attraction very impressive, set amongst wonderful parkland and botanical gardens. It is a short tram ride from Stuttgart centre and is easy to navigate. There isn't much evidence of instructions in any language other than German, and no reason why there should be; visitors are given a clear numbered plan to follow... More
