We spent a warm sunny Saturday afternoon here. We walked around, enjoying the historical setting and the many people who also shaed the space with us. It was as much of a wlk in a park as it was a learning expeience for us. Venders of cold drinks and ice cream were all busy selling their goods to provide some... More

Great place to sit in the summer, watching the world go by. Plenty of choices for things to eat and drink. And today a jazz group playing in the bandstand. Ok parks and one areas may not be everyone's idea of a day out but I found this a really relaxing and enjoyable way of spending a few hours.

The castle is located right in the middle of the city. Easily accessible by foot from the subway or even the main station. Pretty tough not to see it when walking down the main road

Schlossplatz is in the heart of Stuttgart and has a lot of energy all throughout the day. Carl's Brauhaus is right in the square, and slightly overpriced but great for people watching and sitting outside. Drinking beers in the grass is also very fun (because I am Canadian and it is fun to do it legally). But the best is... More

One of the best Palace squares I have ever visited. Full of happenings and action all around the clock. At the evening you can spend time with people and talk with locals who gathers there after the work (if you are brave enough).

My friend and I went shopping before having lunch at an outdoor cafe on the square. Good choice of venues to eat at.

Families were enjoying the fountains, bands playing music, restaurants just to sit and soak it all up. I had the weather on my side, a must if you are in Stuttgart.

The Schlossplatz is a nice central area to Stuttgart. There are tons of restaurants, shops, and there is an S-Bahn Train station right there. The only negative thing is this is where a lot of the protests go on in Stuttgart, so when they are having protests, you should avoid the area.
