Great first "textile-free" experience!

This was my first visit to Schwabenquellen and I really enjoyed it. The spa has many sauna's of varying temperatures, most of which are large along with two pools - one totally indoor and cold along with a heated outdoor one. Being American I was quite nervous to go at first, but within 10 minutes the nudity was forgotten because... More

Sometimes when I need a massage & it's too late at night to schedule one- we go to the sauna. And it's really not that big of a deal to go without clothes. We walk around with our towels/robes wrapped around us- then drop it once we enter the sauna. You can show up with nothing except the clothes on... More

I spent the whole day there with my boyfriend and the experience was just great! It is recommended to go on a weekday so it is not super crowded once the sauna spaces are not very big. The place is very well equipped with showers everywhere, the food in the bar there is great and not super expensive, which makes... More

We are open-minded Americans so we decided to give the textile-free spa/sauna experience a go. It was actually very fun and sensual, and I'd definitely return if I was in Stuttgart again. We rented towels and bathrobes which were high quality. You get a locker with a digital lock on entry, and leave everything there except your towel/bathrobe and highly... More

Easy to get to, just across tracks from Salzacker station on U3 line (direction Plieningen). Take your own (or your Hotel's) towel or robe - will save you a packet rather than hiring one. Well run and maintained, scrupulously clean, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Place looks a bit like a James Bond set with themed saunas, steam rooms and baths... More

The best way to recover from jet-lag! We spent 4 wonderful hours hopping from various pools to saunas. I highly recommend catching one of the numerous Aufguss for detox.

As a Brit, I regularly travel to Germany to enjoy the freedom of nude spa's - many German towns have them and they're usually good value for money with superb facilities. This was my first visit to Schwabenquellen and I must say I really enjoyed it. The size of it doesn't compare at all to places like Therme Erding -... More

Visited here yesterday( Sunday) with my wife, using the U3 from city but discovered that we should have alighted at Salzacher not Pleninger Str as the entrance is directly opposite station. Pleasant staff on entrance, English spoken, separate changing rooms! Very clean with a tag/ locker system, and lots of showers to get to the main area. You arrive at... More

As soon as you've entered into the changing rooms, you can leave all the stress behind you and start to unwind. Whether alone or with a companion, the place offers plenty of relaxing opportunities both in the water and out. My favorites were without a doubt the hot pool outside (salt water) and the swings for relaxing, not least because... More
