Don't miss this if in the Stuittgart area
Truly exceeded my expectations. I'm not much of a sports car buff, but this museum truly wow-ed me. The museum winds your way through the history of Porsches, even showing one of their tractors. The display out front is hard to miss, showing three Porsches appearing to shoot up into the sky. My only recommendation would be to expand their shp at the end of the tour. Don't miss this one.

    Fabulous .
Being current Porsche 911 owners, it was a no-brainer to come here. It’s an excellent museum, with plenty of displays and interactive exhibits, including a very clever virtual reality game, where you attempted to hand- build one of the early Porsche roadsters. And the first Porsches had an electric motor! We stayed nearly 4 hours

    Well worth a visit
Really fun experience visiting the Porsche museum. I took my teenage daughter, who is really keen on cars. Got to see all of the cars we dreamed of seeing. The museum is high quality and interactive.

    Fantastic Visit
The museum is so easy to find, the S-Bahn station is right next to the museum and is only a short ride from the main station. When I arrived to buy a ticket the staff were very polite and friendly. There are plenty of cars on display and the audio guide explained them in more detail if you wanted. You can spend as much time in the museum as you like, I was in the museum for approx 1.5 hours. Definitely recommend to anybody who is in stuttgart to visit.

Stunning building spacious, car fans dream!
Me and my son came here as part of a visit to the AMG factory, staying a train ride away. Very easy to get to by train, no hassle getting a ticket on the day. Stunning building which was spacious and flowed through the years of Porsche, didn't feel crowded at all. Porsche factory right next door, which you walk past and see some built Porsches to get to a local McD! worth a visit if you are in Stuttgart.

    Great brand advertising !
A very impressive slick car museum. Not huge and fairly heavily focused around the 911, but all very well done. We were driving through Germany, so easy to get to and park there, then go onto the nearby Mercedes Museum for a full on car day out.

Visited in mid-February 2023 while in Stuttgart. Amazing experience! Took a 911/718 factory tour and visited the museum afterwards. It was fantastic seeing 911s/718s in production (cameras/phones not allowed). The tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable!

Impressive building and well laid out museum. I was there for at least three hours. Using the audio guide enriches the museum experience. So much to learn about the history of Porsche. For car (performance) enthusiasts, it is really easy to spend a full day at the Porsche museum. Factory tours are booked online but are paid for on-site.

At 17.00 you can buy half price entrance tickets. Museum closes at 18.00 -
really enough time - unless you are a great fan of the brand and you need to stop much time are every single car.

Many great cars obviously, if you are in town, you may consider to go.
Surely I won't visit Stuttgart because of this museum.

Not friendly staff at ticket counter.

If you travel by Sbahn...check attentively the timetable. Otherwise you spend ages waiting for the train.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have been a Porsche nut for years. I have been a fan of Porsche automobiles for most of my adult life. I find the exterior design to be an alluring mélange of curves and sexy lines, and the performance of the vehicles is breathtaking. While planning our trip through Southern Germany I made sure the wife understood that we had to at least pass through Stuttgart….. if not spend the night. Note…if you do spend the night in Stuttgart, I highly recommend the Italian restaurant Da Salvo….we had an outstanding meal there. The museum is located right in the middle of the Porsche complex in the Zuffenhausen district. Parking is convenient (and free) in a multi-level underground parking lot. The entry fee is quite reasonable when you consider the cost of actually buying a Porsche. The museum wends its way counterclockwise/up through the history of Ferdinand Porsche and his cars. There are exquisite examples of the various models produced over the years, with a heavy emphasis on the 911. There is probably at least $100,000,000 worth of hardware that you can get very close to. There is even a section where three different models are available for you to actually get in the cars and get a sense of what it’s like to at least to sit behind the wheel of a Porsche. I actually walked the path through the exhibits three times, taking in all the beauty and technology on display. For non-Porsche-philes this museum will take less than an hour. For those of us enamored with all things Porsche, it will take a bit longer. There are other tours available as well, but they were not being given on the Sunday that we visited. Highly recommended.

We came here with 30 minutes before closing and we bought tickets with only 2 euros each.
Interresting museum if you like cars but not very big overall.
Souvenirs shop at the entrance is available.
Also they have a small restaurant.

Architecture of the building is great. Very convenient to have visitor’s parking downstairs. The cool thing is to rent one of the current models to drive around: 911s, Cayennes, Macans. Just book in advance, not same day.
The history of the brand is well told, the celebrity-cars are cool to see in real life.
Do not hesitate to join if the guided tours. For some reason people are hesitant, or it is not well advertised. I ended having a personal tour with Martin, which was perfect. The benefit of the guided tour is. It only the wealth of knowledge about the brand that you get, he also opens up the doors of some cars. So, you can check out much more than a regular visitor.
Visitors parking has some cool cars too.

The museum was not too busy this early morning (9:30) which left plenty of time to try out all the goodies that keep you interested. In contrast to the Mercedes museum, this Porsche museum has its focus to explain everything - history, family, design and technical concepts. There was even a VR experience to experience how these wonder cars were made shortly after the war. Fantastic to get such a deep understanding of the Porsche mentality and priorities. And intriguing to see how the company works with anybody that serves their purpose: being ahead of the scientific curve for fast powerful cars.

The museum boasts an extensive collection of Porsche cars, both racing cars and production models, as well as some earlier inventions of Dr. Ing. Ferdinand Porsche. A good audio guide is included in the museum fare.

The futuristic building is sight in itself.

Very reasonably priced parking available at the museum garage.

This was a great indoor activity. It was highly interactive. There were staff members walking around and chatting with the visitors. They even opened one of the race cars to allow us to see inside while giving additional information that was not in the audio tour. The bistro on the first floor was great for a snack. Even the parking was accessible for us because we have a larger Dodge truck. All in all, this was a great day and I’m glad we visited.

It's a great museum with lots of historic and iconic cars, one can easily spend 2-3 hours here just watching the cars and reading the descriptions. However staff are mostly unfriendly and unhelpful - especially with the ticketing and Porsche Drive team. The lady I interacted with was downright rude and unhelpful and factually wrong about the functionality of the car (I asked about a feature and she simply said not possible, but a google search later proved otherwise). I really wanted to love this place being a Porsche fan and an owner - but sadly the staff was a let down. However, if you ignore all that, it's still a great place to be at!

If you're a car and motorsport enthusiast, then this is a must do if you're in Stuttgart. Make sure you catch the SBahn to almost the front door and you will recieve a discount on entry. I certainly learned a lot more about the motor industry.
