PIGS!

Absolutely insane but awesome museum. Who knew there was so much pig-themed tack in the world? Some of the more abstract art was quirky and fun.

Curious thing
Oct 2019 • Couples
Ok, when me and my wife heard there was a museum dedicated to pigs we had to check it.
We took a hop on hop off tour through Stuttgart, and reached this museum.
The place has lots of different statues and trinkets with pig images.
It's a curious tour, and if you have spare time it's worth a visit, but I would not change my plans just because of it.

one can ever see too much "pork" items! Not very well maintained, some items lack care but overall interesting and amusing. EUR6,9 to access, a bit too much for the experience

Fun time and an overwhelming amount of pig paraphernalia!!

We had a great time with pig ph s while there. Going hog wild and squealing for joy. You get the picture. I don’t recommend going on a hot day or you’ll sweat like a pig!! It’s super fun and you have to go at least once to say you’ve seen it!! Quite impressive

Thank you very much, Pascale, for your visit and the review about it. Of course, we are sorry, you did not enjoy your visit the way we hope our visitors would. We do have a lot of great feedback on our museum, but we know, it's also individual taste.

An offbeat way to spend some time...

Very kitchy! We were expecting to see a bit more about the relationship of the pig and the German culture, but this was still excellent. The staff was very informative when we entered the self guided museum. Much of it is very tchotchke-ish/flea-market-ish but still very fun to go through...how did someone find that much time to find pig-related stuff?!

Sounds like a fun idea, but it disappoints
Aug 2019
It ought to be a fun place to visit - hundreds of different pig-themed toys, ornaments, soft furnishings, books... But the overarching theme seems to be "quantity not quality", and it's just room after room of pig artifacts piled high; often, ten of the same object, lined up side by side for no apparent reason. So it ends up being pretty unamusing. It doesn't cost much to get in, but it's a bit of a hike from the city centre. I'd put this a long way down the list of things to see and do in Stuttgart.

A fun time with Schweine
Aug 2019
We found this museum very fun and quirky. Who knew the world had so many Pig themed items? It was room after room after room of Pig paraphernalia. We went hog wild on our puns and laughter as we toured two huge floors of pig items. There was something for everyone. (And a bit overwhelming at times!). Super fun for an afternoon outing and the restaurant downstairs has a great menu as well. Go! It’s well worth the trip!
