Came to see Vfb Stuttgart play, they won 3-0 so it was a good day! Enjoyed my visit, the beer and food were good and pretty cheap, seats were decent value and the atmosphere was amazing. Just over 50k people in and it was great. Well worth the trip.

I saw Stuttgart vfb play Dusseldorf in September, 2018. A nil-nil draw. There was some action, but not the most exciting game ever. The fan atmosphere was excellent. The Dusseldorf fans, although smaller in number than the vfb supporters, were loud and kept up their chants and flag waving pretty much the entire game. Same for the Stuttgart fans. I am glad I went to the match, but as professional sporting events go, I would not rate it as above average.

To compare this to my experiences watching the Portland Trailblazers (basketball) and the Seattle Mariners (baseball): the arena looks cool from the outside, but inside it feels more antiquated than either the Moda Center (Portland) or Safeco Field (Seattle). Because of security, you cannot roam around the entire stadium like you can at a US sports event. The crowd is more male and more intoxicated (there might be a relationship there). Smoking is allowed inside the arena (not a huge deal, since it is not an enclosed space). The food choices are more limited than a big-time American sporting event. On the plus side, the food and beer are not ridiculously overpriced the way they are at US arenas.

The best thing about the match was the mother of Dusseldorf's right back was sitting next to me. It was great to here her yell at the team (and maybe curse, my Gernan's not that good) whenever Dusseldorf would fail to capitalize on one of their scoring chances!

The Mercedes Benz Arena is the renewed home of Stuttgarts premier soccer team VfB. We've seen the match versus VfL Wolfsburg which got unfortunately lost. The stadium is one of the most modern ones in Germany and has been redesigned to the benefit of life atmosphere. As all track and field lanes have been removed you are now closer to action and part of the great atmosphere. For families I would recommend to buy tickets for the main stand or the dedicated family areas. There is plenty of food stands available and VfB accessories can be found at various places. Parking is available around the Arena but public transportation takes you nearly to every place in greater Stuttgart.

If you love soccer, you have to watch a game in this place.

The public transportation is perfect, well organized, with police taking care of the security everywhere.

The stadium is beautiful (at least from outside), unfortunately I visited the place in a day without games, but you can tell it's worth the visit.

Biased, as we won (Hull City), but they served good food, beer in special glasses that could be stacked, or hung over the railings to keep your hands free. All the catering and security staff were friendly, and we had a good view. the pre-match entertainment was also great, and unexpectedly high standard.

Even though they aren't doing that great this year it is still fun to go to the Mercedes Benz Arena and watch a game. There are tons of vendors so no long lines for a beer or pizza and the same for the bathrooms.

We watched Stuttgart vs Hanover as we had a spare afternoon. The Arena is fantastic and i dont think there is a bad seat in it.
the onyl problem is if you want any refreshments. You have to buy a top up card for 5 Euro's, put money on the card and then buy your food and drink. I'ts not much of a problem as the beer and sausages are reasonably priced and you can eat and drink at your seats

My son was highly anticipating a visit here and wasn't disappointed. He took the 11am english tour and found it very interesting. He just thought that the gift shop was a bit pricey however he was more than happy.

As a regular this stadium is always a pleasant visit and great to reach.
If you visit via car, you're very safe to park your car on P10 (Wasen) which is the big festival venue in front of the stadium. All parking spots around the stadium are either expensive or unreliable, because parking in German cities is often nearly impossible. Note that during Frühlingsfest and Cannstatter Wasen (2nd biggest Oktoberfest in Germany) parking is limited and costs between 5 and 7 Euros even on the usually free parking spaces.
If you decide to visit via U-Bahn/S-Bahn you have the choice between the station Neckarpark (Stadion) which is an U-Bahn station right in front of stadium and the station Neckarpark which is an S-Bahn station approximately 10 minutes away from stadium by foot. Please note that you should walk there over Mercedesstraße because the faster ways are often blocked by police guarding the away fans.
