This is heaven for Foodies. We always take our guests here, choose a delicious mix of tasty treats, fruit and wine and picnic on the grounds of the Landesmuseum. When you return the wine glasses enjoy a delicious espresso and you are ready to continue your Stuttgart walkabout! The stalls at the Markthalle offer the best of German, Greek, Italian... More

Living in Stuttgart for most of us means that we cannot have access to those tasty olives, olive oils, cheese, wine, etc. But, I loved buying olives, and fruits there. It is a bit pricy, but time to time if you want to reward yourself, it is nice to go there if you are a foodie person.

Specialties from Italy, Spain, Turkey and many other places... Exotic fruit of every variety... Probably the best place in town if you crave variety! Of course, prices tend to be higher, than at stores or at the outdoor market. There are a couple of restaurants (never been there) and an outdoor cafe next to the market. The Markthalle was the... Wow! Certainly deluxe as the very pleasant and helpful waiter told us. Beautiful plates of cold meats and cheeses followed by a plate of fresh fruit. Orange juice, prosecco and coffee. As much bread as you can eat. No lunch as needed today. Charming staff.

I've been going to this market for years and it never disappoints. Everything is fresh, beautifully displayed and the variety is incredible. A mandatory stop every time I visit Stuttgart!

At the ground floor you will find all kinds of food and fruit from any country of the world. The dealers are famous for the good quality and the good taste. Ask if you can try before you buy. You will find out that it is a great place to smell and taste. Another Attraction is at the first floor... More

Historic covered market area that we had a look around as we were exploring this area. I dont go on holiday to shop but if your into your shopping there were many stall's to bring something back from your travel's that you would not get back in the U.K such as the cheese stall stocking local produced cheese we passed....
