The Luisenpark in Mannheim is not to be missed. OK, Parks are not everyone's thing, but I think if that's your idea, you need to try this one on for size, because it's very special. The Luisenpark was at one time the home of the...More

A beautiful slice of nature in an industrial type city. It had winding paths, beautiful flower beds, manicured lawns, several excellent indoor/outdoor restaurants, a botanical garden, a large lake with boating & an interesting selection of wildlife. A bit expensive and freaky to pay for just a park. It’s not a zoo, it’s a park! Should be supported by the government. Anyway. Still a nice place.

Beside Wasserturm you should go to Luisenpark. Mannheim has a few beautiful places, Lusienpark is one of them. You have a little zoo, can rent a little boat (which automaticaly moves, no effort needed).
