Many locals have recommended that we check out this museum and so we did. There were two main exhibitions going on and it costs adults €6.00 for one or €10.00 for both (Combi ticket). Students pay €4.00 for one but not 100% sure how much the combi is. The exhibition halls are massive and the art & media one spread... More

There two museums here with temporary exhibitions. We spent several hours at one of them and were very impressed by the exhibitions on show at the time. The staff at the reception was very helpful and gave great advice including the fact that on Fridays after 14:00 entry is free (we arrived at 12:15 and could enter the second museum... More

I liked the ZKM so much on my first stay, I came to Karlsruhe again just to visit it a second time. Bleah! What a mess! I feel bad now for writing my first review and leading people on to this place. My second visit started out with some bad signs: The first cash desk was unattended, and the person... More

Never boring, ever changing themes, workshops (not free, I booked one for children about robotics). The Café is not cheap. There's free WiFi, ask for the free password.

I came to this museum for the first time in 2009 which was amazing. The exhibition was cars which was very interesting and there were many old computer games and also futuristic technology concepts. It was highly interactive and an amazing day out, however after telling my partner how amazing it was we decided to visit again in June 2016... More

I visited this museum with my partner after being recommended by her and even she was disappointed. The museum is split into 2 parts. On our visit it was gallery art in one section which I didn't really enjoy and technology in games and security on the other side which I enjoyed more. I think the limit of taking pictures... More

We try to go to the ZKM every time we are in or near Karlsruhe. The place is enormous and usually hosts multiple exhibits, events, and subjects. I do not recall a single time that we didn't find something thought provoking in one of the cavernous halls or floors. Our most recent visit was especially successful. They were (and probably... We went there on the last day of our trip not really knowing what to expect, but the place itself is gorgeous and the exhibitions were good, (and had English explanations), in particular the one about art in the digital age, and we ended up spending hours there.
