Spend the whole day. Let the children do the Zoo-lympics and explore the "ExotenHaus". Definitely a lot to see and explore for the whole family.

I've been there twice and the last time was quite disappointing. They don't have that many animals anymore, but that hasn't made tickets cheaper. Additionally they don't have any performance. If you're in the area and want to visit a Zoo you'd better go to Heidelberg.

This zoo is amazing - and is not at all crammed as there is loads of space. There is much parkland around the zoo and a large lake. A great variety of animals are in the zoo.

I travelled to Karlsruhe for business and decided to arrive earlier over the weekend. With no plans, looking for a relaxing afternoon, the zoo was the perfect fit. It was right next to my hotel, schlosshotel, and had a good variety of animals, gardens and green fields. They also post their feeding times online. It was unfortunate that all the... More

If you intend to visit Karlsruhe, you should go the Zoo Karlsruhe. It is the perfect combination of animal and plant world. At the same time it offers excellent walking trails. In particular, you will delight children.

A couple hours is a good amount of time to spend here to take in all the animals, birds, fish, seals, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, bears, elephants, penguins, bunnies, etc. There is a boat ride that you can take for extra fee but shorter version ride was only 2 euros and well worth it. Loads of beautiful flowers in April. Children can... More

I love this zoo! (I do have one problem which I will mention later). Karlsruhe zoo is a really great place that has not only has a ton of animals but, a really nice park at the far end of the zoo too. There is such a variety of animals and you have the opportunity to see a lot of... More

This was my first visit to the zoo here in Europe. The zoo itself is small, but they have a good selection of animals to include animals from Africa, South America, and Asia. The bird sanctuary was very nice and the top floor has an observation deck that overlooks the entire sanctuary. The botanical gardens are in full bloom already... More

This zoo is small yet has a great variety of animals. Polar bears, elephants and even a baby hippo! We went on a Monday and being early spring it was not very busy. Very easy to view the animals. Only 7.50e per adult and 4e to ride in the little boats. Very enjoyable!
