About
StadtSafari offers Segway tours in several of the cities in the Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar, which make sightseeing an extraordinary experience. Tours through the urban jungle offer participants an unique opportunity to explore the city "floating" (oder segueing? Meint eigentlich ein bisschen was anders aber wäre ein Wortspiel mit Segway), touristic tours aim at showing the beautiful and historical sights and tourist attractions of the cities. Pure Nature is offered in overland tours along the Bergstraße, in the Odenwald and the Palatinate. All of them guarantee experiences with a special charm.

What a great new way to see parts of the city and the Philosophers way. Alex was a great help and took his time to show us around. It was a just my wife and I on the early tour. We probably gave the guy a couple hear attacks along the way but it was definitely worth the time. Highly recommend

I can't recommend this highly enough, such a brilliant way to explore a city! You wouldn't get to see a tenth of the ground that you cover if you were on foot and we really enjoyed this opportunity to get a feel for the whole area rather than just the usual tourist highlights. Wonderful views of the valley from high up on the Philosopher's trail but also great fun exploring the urban landscape below. The Segways themselves are fantastic and surprisingly easy to control (I was left seriously considering buying one). From now on the Segway tour will be a standard part of any short break city visit I take. The only thing I would say is try not to catch your reflection in the windows of the buildings you pass because you do tend to look like a bit of a dork :-)

My husband booked this as a birthday surprise and it was great! we had our own guide for about 2hrs going along the river both sides and up Philosopher's Way for amazing views of the city that you wouldn't usually see if doing 'the traditional tourist stuff'. It's easy to take photos as you ride too unlike cycling etc.
We stopped by a small shop too for lollipops/drinks if you forget your own.
Our guide told us about what we could see and 'city life' unlike the traditional history stuff (you will get that in the castle!) so it was a fresh look on the city. Easy to find.
The wind is stronger while riding so wrap up warmer than usual - remember your not hiking!

Riding a Segway is a fun on its own but riding a Segway in Heilderberg with the great views along the route was a great experience. I can strongly recommend StadtSafari for your Segway tour in this lovely city... booking was easy, confirmation arrived very quickly, the Sageway was in very good condition, and our tour guide Felline was amazing.

The tour is not really touristic, you see some beautiful houses and views, and you drive by some of the highlights, but you get no explanation. You should see it as a quiet, relaxing way to get an idea of where everything is and to see the whole town without having to walk. The people are very nice though, and I had a great time. I even went back a few days later to rent a segway without a guide and that was no problem either.

Went as a group of 15 for a Business related Team Building event. What a blast!! Takes about 3 minutes to get comfortable on the Segway and you are off. Great views from all over the city. The Guides were great but the Segway is the real attraction. Always wanted to try one and it did not disapoint. Our tour was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. We Seagwayed on bothe sides of the river and through the University. Highly recommend

If you want to see Heidelberg from a different perspective try by segway.
The tour takes in the Old Town, The Philosopher's Way and much more.
It was also tailored to suit us as experienced riders but would be just as fun for beginners.

This tour was most fun as Tev, the Segway guide, is tough not a tour guide but is so funny and excellent sense of humour.
He is very sensitive to people who are a bit timid when having their first Segway experience.
He is most alert and attentive in regards to security.

My husband and I were veisiting Germany for the first time and thought a Segway tour including Heidelberg Castle would be an interesting thing to try. Our guide George was very patient and helped us feel comfortable right away. We had an awesome tour and went up into the mountainside where the views were spectacular. We got to have a quick trip over to the castle when we reached it and it was breathtaking. Best of all we didn’t have to climb all those steps. Thank you for a wonderful adventure! We would definitely recommend them.

We actually did their tour in Frankfurt first, then found out our guide - Alex - was doing a tour in Heidelberg two days later - since we were going to daytrip there anyway - we decided to do it again. Both tours were great. The web site wasn't allowing me to book online (said the tours were closed Nov to Feb) so I sent an email requesting a tour. Hans-Peter Reiboldt responded and graciously set a tour up in Frankfurt, then added us to the booking in Heidelberg. The tour had 2 guides (cant remember to lady's name but she was great) The tour was awesome. A perfect way to see any town - especially when you only have a day. Old town, Philosophers way (great views of town from across the river - but this may not be allowed in future tours). And man, can these things climb a hill. Segway tours are now a "must do" on any trip we ever take. Thanks to Hans and Alex for 2 great experiences.
